Even those deemed “the beautiful people” deal with issues not foreign to every student cattle-prodded through high school. InStyle Magazine typecasts cast members of the Twilight Saga and reveals their high school pictures, which should give the typical high school student a sense of relief seeing their teen idols in an atmosphere similar to the norm.
InStyle tags the cast members as:
Ashley Greene- The Good Girl
Kellan Lutz- Mr. Popular
Kristen Stewart- The Rebel
Taylor Lautner- The Jock
Nikki Reed- The Individual
Stephenie Meyer- The Brain
The magazine also reveals that Kristen Stewart left school after junior high because of her demanding career and was homeschooled through high school.
Nikki Reed, who easily portrays Rosalie Hale and is described in the Twilight Saga as the most beautiful woman in the world, left high school because she didn’t fit in.
InStyle Magazine says:
On why she left school after feeling that she didn't fit in: "If you can't find the perfect spot in a group, it's not about how pretty you are. You can't really fly solo."
So how can your teen use the Twilight Saga cast members’ experiences to identify with their own high school trials? Consider these characteristics typical of high school students, gleaned from Education.com:
- • Continuing risk-taking behavior (especially for males)
- • Gradual increase in self-esteem
- • Increasing integration of diverse self-perceptions into an overall, multifaceted sense of self
- • Search for the “real me” and an adult identity
Consequential suggested strategies to deal with these characteristics include:
- • When discussing the potential consequences of risky behaviors, present the facts but don’t make students so anxious or upset that they can’t effectively learn and remember (e.g., avoid scare tactics).
- • Give students opportunities to examine and try out a variety of adult-like roles.
Remember that “beautiful people” most often come from humble beginnings. While hair and makeup stylists can work wonders for the stars, finding your teen’s inner beauty is the first step to creating a strong sense of self-confidence- outer beauty will follow tenfold.

You're kidding right? Half of the actors were too old and the high school "kids" was so far from reality we all wanted to puke! Lady you've been out of scholl way to long to write this!
