physical nature of Jacob Black. Taylor Lautner is a mere 17 years old, the age of many of our sons, but looks fit for the cover of a romance novel in this depiction. Yet do we really want to share him with our kids?
Little, Brown has revealed their cover for the movie tie-in edition of New Moon, which features an exclusive image from the Twilight franchise's second film. Taylor Lautner fans should certainly pick up more than a few copies (Those arms! That smoldering stare! Remember, he's only 17!). As for Team Edward...well, at least the image proves that the moon is not, in fact, made of green cheese.
Anyone else torn between pining over young Jacob as a woman and feeling, as a mom, like covering up those bulging biceps with a sweatshirt?
Speaking of biceps, note Jacob's large tattoo. Seems the werewolves in the movie will all be sporting this; a sort of dedication to their clan.

you can't even see edward properly.
we are just glad we have the orginal because that cover would put us off.
Good thing I have an affinity for Jacob; if I didn't, I don't think I'd care for it either. I do like the cover, but I can see the look of "cheap romance novel" as well...
to whoever said that you cant see edward properly, its because he's not really in the whole book. He is just a voice in bella's mind that is watching out for her. Jacob is actually in the whole book.
It does have the whole "romance" novel look, doesn't it? I like the original cover better, of course. The pic of Jacob doesn't bother me, other than he is way too cozy with Bella! My DD sure likes the cover, she can have Jacob, I will take Edward!
i really do like this cover i think its awesome and for the ppl who cant see edward get glasses cuz hes there and u can see him DUH and plus he is barely in the book so yea thxx//
Jacob looks like he is getting cozy with Bella, but look at her body language. The way her hand is pushing him away clearly says "back off". But then the tilt of her head contredicts with "I don't want to hurt you". She's saying she just wants to be friends.
Also I would have like to see more Edward. But that's just me. ;)
...i think its ok but jacob doesnt look like hes glaring but he has a puppy dog face, and bella is just saying 'back off' and edward looks kinda freaky...
and i think it gives away too much of the book
because edward is very vague in the backround, and jacob is holding bella like that... and anyone could probably guess what happens if they read twilight. i definetely liked the twilight cover with the cullens on it better, this one is kinda weird
Love this cover! Jacob is looking very sexy and has such a thing for Bella, which really comes thru.. Go Team Jacob.. WOOOOOOF!
I love the cover, and even though Edward is my favourite, having Jacob up front does suit it better!
But I do have to comment... theres nothing wrong with him showing his arms! Mum, if your so worried about that, then what happens when you take yur children to the beach or a pool! There gonna see way more than ARMS!!!
Love the cover. I'm Team Edward but he's not in this book that much Jacob is but I think they should only pick one cover and go with that why would you have 3 different covers? [[its in another posting]] but I think the cover is great
@Courtney- pure marketing strategy. The original cover markets to the Twilight purists, and the prominent Edward and Jacob covers market to those respective "teams." Some say New Moon is Jacob's book, others maintain that it's still Bella's.
Regardless, how many of you have the original and will still go out and buy one of the new books?
