In a recent interview, Making Of spoke with Melissa Rosenberg. The interview truly captured Rosenberg’s ability to take the Twilight Saga and, along with Chris Weitz’s input, create a masterpiece.
After having seen New Moon, what popped out from the interview as a most impressive snippet was Rosenberg’s accolades for Anna Kendrick, who played Jessica.
Without revealing spoilers, it was quite apparent that Jessica had much more of a prominent role as a supporting actor this time around. Her position as the popular teenage beauty is outlined much better in New Moon, and fans can truly enjoy her character, which she masterfully harnesses.
Kendrick’s ability to adlib and provide improvisation were a treat, and most likely reminded moms around the world of their typical teenage daughter, snark and all.
