The latest issue of Teen Sensations Twilight features both my recent interview with Gil Birmingham along with a muse of mine on Robert Pattinson and his staying star power ability- quite the play on seasoned stag vs. young buck.
Gil got his start in acting before Rob was even born and has proven himself consistently as a dedicated actor, most recently in Love Ranch, playing a sheriff against veteran actor Joe Pesci.
Rob has a shorter, yet more visible place in the Hollywood scene, and is currently poised in a tightened make or break position. Dashing looks aside, Rob possesses the acting chops to prove himself a master craftsman to even those unfamiliar with the Twilight Saga.

What is your thought on Gil Birmingham as a veteran actor and Robert Pattinson's staying power ability?

I'm SO giddy to read this! LOL I'm so excited that you got to do the Gil interview and write the feature on Rob...*sigh*
Are you people serious? Gil Birmingham has no talent why do you think hes never been an over night sensation in what like 40 years hes been trying to be noticed man. Now he begs for bored horny houswives to want him like their daughters want Rob so he can feel special just once like the young REAL STARS of the flick! Give me a break man Gil is only good at one thing, using women on myspace for sex just ask my sister, you "fans" have no clue, dude get over yourself after the twilight stuff is over so are you.
Wow "who cares" those are harsh words. Irrelevant of the fact that he has always been a low key actor, if you look at the work that he has done, he is a great actor. And I don't think you can go around making statements like "using women on myspace for sex just ask my sister" without backing up your story.
Personal attacks have no place in this venue and serve no reason other than to be hurtful. Mr. Birmingham and his entourage have been nothing but helpful, friendly and endearing, and I'm proud to say I've had the chance to interview him. Supporting actors play just as large a part as the feature actor in helping to convey the tone of the movie, and Gil does a great job as Billy Black.
