Over a year ago, MTV posted one of the first Twilight-related interviews with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, musing about the potential chemistry between the two fledgling indie actors. A snippet of that interview reads:
But the main question remains: Do "Twilight" stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have the chemistry to pull off Edward and Bella's timeless romance?
After reading this article and watching the attached videos, you may very well have your answer. Below, the two stars speak exclusively to MTV News about running through treetops like spider monkeys, planning out their kissing scenes and bonding over Brando.
MTV: When you plan out a kiss, do you say, "I'm gonna come in with my head tilted right, you stay left," so that you guys don't bang noses or something?
Pattinson: Kristen doesn't have any idea what she's doing at all. [Laughs.] So it's always going to be difficult no matter what the direction is. It was kind of difficult. All the kissing scenes are the key relationship scenes as well. They're not just kissing scenes.
Stewart: They can't just make out. They can't just kiss each other like normal people.
Seven months later, with the opening of Twilight, the main question was answered with absolute certainty. In fact, the undeniable chemistry between Edward and Bella has transcended the characters. Since the almost-kiss at the MTV Movie Awards, the rumor mill is now running at full-tilt speculating about the possibility of romance between Robert and Kristen, unofficially dubbed Robsten.
As the Saga spirals into more mature themes with Eclipse and possibly Breaking Dawn, rumors will surely continue to fly, and parents will be confronted with the necessity of answering questions to their teens about both the on and off screen romance between the actors, now seasoned through the continual hype of the Twilight Saga.
Fortunately, parents of tweens and teens can relax. For now. The Twilight Saga movie kisses are fairly innocent. And though the theme of sex is laced throughout the Saga (not unlike reality), ultimately, as Twilighters know, Edward and Bella remain chaste until marriage.
Conversely, mature women who thrive on the passion between Edward and Bella are reliving their own experiences of first love through the relationship portrayed in both the written word and the chemistry that Robert and Kristen exude on the big screen.

Vanessa, a Twilight Saga enthusiast, compiled this video of all the kisses between Edward and Bella both in Twilight and what we've seen thus far in New Moon. Would you feel comfortable sharing this video with your teen, or would you reserve it to enjoy with other adult friends or at night when the kids are asleep?

Lets face it, teens kiss and do other things. Reality! So, why not at least have them have unbelieveably high standards of Edward-type-chivalry and not stress about it!
I hate Twilight, I however like Kristen she has done many many films whatever she chooses to do in her private life doesn't matter she's an adult.
Up to this point I haven't come accross anything inappropriate in the Twilight series, I havent read 'Breaking Dawn' yet. But the other 3 books I would not have a problem with my teenagers reading it, its innocent and the fact that 'Edward' shows restraint and respect for Bella is a great role model for teens. The writer; Stephanie Meyer is right on target in keeping it decent.
Robsten is ON!
