Now that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has hit theaters and the release date for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 has been set for November 18, 2011 (which seems like an eternity from now), the question is: what's left for Twilight fans in 2010?
At the beginning of the year, thoughts about the top ten things 2010 would bring for Twilight fans were mostly Eclipse-centric, but there were a couple of things that have yet to pass. For instance, Breaking Dawn's new castmates have not yet been discovered and the film has obviously not begun production. Also, The Host production hasn't begun, and a lot of Twilight fans are also very much fans of Stephenie Meyer's The Host as well (so developments with that movie will also be very exciting).
Additionally, the turn-around rates for Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon from theater to DVD were about four months (November to March). If The Twilight Saga: Eclipse follows suit, it'll probably receive a DVD release date somewhere around the end of October or early November. Twilight DVD releases are always an event in themselves (what with parties, TV spots, etc.), so that should re-invigorate things around that time period.
Hopefully, news on the second portion of Young Kim's Twilight: The Graphic Novel will be coming along sometime this year. The first portion was released on March 16th of this year, and while there's no indication the second portion will be released in 2010, we might at least learn a little more about when we can expect it to come out.
There'll also be continued convention appearances by the cast throughout the year via the Official Twilight Convention group by Creation Entertainment, and several castmembers from the series are busy filming other movies - like Taylor Lautner with Abduction or Robert Pattinson with Water For Elephants.
Other than that, when asked what Twilight fans expect the rest of 2010 to hold for them, the near universal response was "re-read the series . . . slowly."

There's always Fanfiction. Most of it is better than the original series.
Breaking Dawn DOES seem like a lifetime away. TT-TT
yes... I will read Breaking Dawn and Water for Elephants.... really, really, really, really, slowly....
Anyway to try out to be an extra in Breaking Dawn?
I concur Bella... FF gets a little more juicy (not for the kids!)
ill read saga plus short second life of and midnight sun again, and keep collecting twilight saga merchandise ,if this is how bad its going to be between now and breaking dawn part one ,what will we do when we have had all the movies,i cant wait for the movies but i dont want it to end either ,the thought of not seeing rob as edward on the big screen ,is just ,.... urgh !!!
I wish Stephenie Meyer would write another sequel to the Twilight Saga...there is so much that she could follow with.
There are the books to re-read and the first three movies to watch. I'd also recommend to anyone who hasn't to check out the audio books from the library (or buy them,if you have a boat load of extra $$ lying around)and listen to the saga. It's a different experience. And on a semi-related note, does anyone know anything about The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide by Stephenie Meyer? I ordered it from Amazon back in 2008 and the pub date keeps getting pushed back and pushed back (to the point there isn't even an estimate anymore). Having it to read would certainly help fill the time between movies! Plus there are all the other movies the actors are involved in to look forward to seeing!
PJ i have been wondering the same thing!! i saw that at one of the bookstores (borders i think) and when i asked (later) about was i seeing things about this book the guy at the store said oh no that doesn't even have a release date, we never heard anything....really, then why WAS it on your selection to preorder.........it's not anymore. least it wasn't the other week when i checked. even some website said they heard nothing about it, come on, i may crave everything twilight, but it isn't so bad that i am making up books myself now, lol!
PJ.............."The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide is a book written by Stephenie Meyer that will be released on December 31, 2010 in Canada and the USA.[1] The original release date was ..." i got this from the wiki page........unfortunatly i have been seeing a december release date of 2008 and 2009 previously
PJ, it happened to me, too! The lady at my bookstore kept saying, "It's coming, it's coming . . . " And she's been saying that for two years.
Hurry up, Stephenie Meyer! I NEED more things to read!
Thanks April & Zoey. I've seen the 12/08,09 and 10 pub dates too. Hopefully 3rd time's the charm! My order is still active at Amazon, so I assume they're still anticipating it. I find it interesting that there's been no buzz about it, even on SM's website. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope to hear about it on the different Twi-sites sometime soon!
the thing that we twilight fans we have left is now going with the cast as they shoot the last book. and we have the teen choice awards in august. i think the cast are going to go to that. and i jsut remebered that the fans are going to be told on new casting for the vampires of breaking dawn. so we have a few things left to look forward too. for me i am just enjoing eclipse in theaters.
