Two 'New Moon' DVD scenes to look out for

Now that The Twilight Saga: New Moon is in theaters (and taking large swipes at any and all present (and most of the former) competition), it's a fair time to look back on some of the things that apparently did not make the cut.

A couple of specific scenes come straight to mind.

For starters, you might recall an interview screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg did back in July where she talked about her favorite scene to write in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. In that interview, Rosenberg revealed that it was a scene involving the one and only Victoria.

I was really able to explore what was Victoria up to throughout this, and there was at one point we kind of went to Victoria's driving very fast in her car, and she ... took a snack with her, and she's reminiscing about her days with James, and I just loved writing that scene.

Another comes from the vegetarian vampire side of things with Peter Facinelli. Back in September, he spoke with MTV's Larry Carroll and revealed that his favorite book quote from his character was to be included in the film.

Like everything else in life, I just had to decide what to do with what I was given.

Obviously, the scene surrounding where the quote would've taken place - the patch-up scene between Carlisle and Bella after the birthday/papercut - was there, but the quote wasn't in the film.

Recently, director Chris Weitz has been doling out a few New Moon DVD details, saying that there'd be twenty minutes of deleted scenes among other things, so fans might hope that these two moments will make it into The Twilight Saga: New Moon's deleted scenes. Agreed?

I'd LOVE to see the scene Melissa speaks about.....or any Rachelle scene with dialogue. Sadly, I have a feeling Summit will still be sucking those sour grapes and completely leave Rachelle out of the entire DVD....interviews and all. I hope I'm wrong, but after seeing she had zip dialogue in the film but fourth or fifth billing (above Gathegi and Facinelli no less), I just don't see that happening.

NOT to mention the scene in some of the previews with Alice saying "your a human who knows way too much...." that was not even in the movie! BRING ON THE DVD LOL

Yeah where was the whole part about "your a human who knows too much" I was looking forward to that part. I wanted more of the book in the movie, Summit must think we wont be able to sit still that long. New Moon was a longer runtime then Twilight but it was still very short and felt so rushed in places. Where was all the talking to and from Italy?! I hope we get more from the dvd :) and of course Eclipse better be longer

Yes, I do agree I want those on the DVD. Fans do understand you can't put everything in the book on the screen and yes, the movie was AWESOMSTACULAR, but there was the whole climax up to the break up scene that wasn't in the movie that I was very disappointed in. I related the deepest and strongest to that part of the book of Edward pulling away and Bella on the verge of nervous breakdown; wasn't that important in portraying the most important part of the entire book? Either way, I still LOVED the movie and am glad that I knew what was going on eve3n when it wasn't necessarily obvious in the film.

Wasn't there a part in one of the trailers where Bella had said something about having a cake made for 50 at her birthday party and them not even eating cake? I'm excited to see that they include on the DVD

I would love all the deleted scenes to be in the dvd, I pay for it. I felt that the movie was not long enough and there was allot of things missing. I loved the movie, I could of done with out seing the flashforward of Bella as a vampire, that was beyond corny. Hoping eclipse is longer at least 3 hrs and they film Breaking Dawn, I would love to see it in two parts. I want to see the details that made the book great into the movies. I dont want to feel like the movie was rushed. I'll sit for 5 hrs if I have too. Give us the deleted scenes in the DVD too...
btw I loved Kristen stewarts acting, I dont care what anyone says. LOL.

I'm guessing Rachelle had scenes cut out to make it less obvious of the acting change in Eclipse. People who are only seeing the movies won't then notice it as much. I do agree though that the movies are very short. If people will sit for three or more hours of Harry Potter doesn't Summit understand that people will sit for three hours for the Twilight Saga? Create a "fan version" dvd with all the scenes that were cut.

i know i think the movie was way to short parts where missing i as well felt like some one was rushing me through it.an in clips before it came out the seen of alice telling bella she knows to much where was it then. an if bella was suposed to be so happy to have edward back when they where in italy.then why didnt she act like she was more excited. also where was the whating to leave the voltarre like in the book. an then when they got home they had a scene in her bed room where they make out why didnt they keep that in.isnt the storie about love well after the breakup scene but now they find there way back to each other an no real love whats up with that those are the parts i want to see in the books.also edward pulls bella on his lap as well as. his arm is around her alot even in italy he held her but they only held hands in the movie. i wanted more amotion an really there wasnt .also why rush us through the movie i dont think one twi.fan would argue if it was alot longer.

Also missing was when Bella was running through the fountain, she screamed "No Edward don't"
I would also like bloopers, I think that would be cool too.

Why are people saying that the part where Alice says "You are a human who knows entirely too much about vampires" wasn't in the movie, it was! They were sitting on the couch!?!?!
So was the part when Bella was running though the fountain screaming "No, Edward, DON'T!"
I can't wait for the DVD. I hope it comes out fast!

I may be in the minority on this, but I really enjoy seeing "bloopers" on a DVD.

I will miss Rachelle in Eclipse, but Victoria wasn't really a presence in New Moon so I don't need to see what she's doing.

I wanted the "epiphany" after Italy and more affectionate touching between Edward and Bella. Edward was always touching Bella.
Chris did a much better job making this movie. I agree with everyone, Summit has to allow these movies to be longer. If my 12 year old daughter was able to read Twilight in one day i am sure the average Twilight fan can sit through a 3 hour movie.

I wish we could see what Chris would have done with Twilight. I think that movie sort of stunted anything after. The initial relationship was never developed and it hurt with the break up in New Moon. Chris tried to establish Edward and Bella's connection and I applaud his efforts.
Much love to Chris and the cast.

The one scene i wish was put together a little bit better was after Bella saves Edward I really wanted to see the flight home with Bella trying to stay awake because she thinks Edward is a dream which then leads to the car ride back to forks i really wanted the apology from Rosalie the way it was written ...but over all the movie was amazing and i can't wait until June 30th/2010 but i think this time i will wait till Sunday to avoid the screaming teenage girls that just couldn't be quiet during the whole movie .

    ...TO KERRI...

I'm in total agreement, myself & the girls of our flat (minus the boys) all attended the midnight opening screening in NZ. Total mistake, apart from being tired from work the teenage SQUEALING really put a damper on the movie. They made me regret not buying an extra "adult beverage" to take into the cinema.

    ...TO THE CAST...
    Tu meke! Too Much!
Emmett & Jasper Cracked us up
Bella Jacob & Edward Emo'd us out
    The wolfpack turned us on
    Rosalie pi$$ed us off

    ... TO THE CINEMA ATTENDEES...
Sorry about dropping the popcorn & drink over the chairs!!!

Good movie, hope it breaks EVERY record :)

I don't think it would of been wise if that clip with Victoria would of made the cut since the actresses were changed. I am happy that Victoria wasn't in the film that much since they changed the actress.

One of the deleted scenes included on the dvd must be the dreamsequence scene. Remember those pictures where Bella is in her bed in the forest and Edward is sitting on the bed? Another scene must be the scene where Alice and Edward bring Bella home. I've seen a picture in wich Edward and Alice are walking to the car, while Charlie is standing in the dooropening.
    Any other suggestions?
