While we've discussed some of the more infamous Robert Pattinson and Edward Cullen tattoos around, we might've missed discussing some of the more extravagant Twilight-based tattoos out there.
Ranging from Twilight quotes to imagery based upon the book covers or film stills, these tattoos are not only detailed and ornate, but they are also quite proudly displayed on noticeable parts of the body.
For instance, the tattoo pictured here is of one person's forearms (both), matching up to say a very important line from book the book and film.
Others, featured below, are of a similar vein.
So, what do you think of them? Have you ever thought of getting a Twilight-inspired tattoo? If so, what would you get, where would you get it, and why? Comment below and let us know!

I have been planning a "Twilight" tattoo since I began reading the books. I just have to save the money. Sorry, can't say what it is but I will send you a pic when it's done!

Wow, that takes some balls.
My favorite quote about tatoos is from Mary Tyler Moore "what is now on your shoulder may end up on your ass someday"
I think it's a litte crazy, but hey, kudos to these ladies for having the guts to do what they really want.
i hope your father is proud of you when he walks you down the aisle on your wedding day! i feel worse for your husband, who has to look at that for the rest of his life!
I love the books and movie enough but come on - a tattoo? Get a Tattoo to represent a turning point in your life...kids...or dedicated to the memory of a lost family member..etc. Don't get a tattoo like this - you will regret it someday!
First off, Id probably never get a tattoo cuz im really not a masochist. I dont enjoy pain, and i wouldn't intentionally inflict it upon myself. Piercing my Ears is as far as i go with that lol.
Pluz, Some of these tattoos are pretty tacky! I have to admit, i dont find them all that attractive or anything, but hey, to each her own right? If i were to get a twilight tattoo, it wouldn't be noticable, i would consider maybe (as one has done) La Tua Cantante. But i would put it some place inconspicuous, like maybe my lower back. But since as I've stated above, im no masochist, so it wont happen LOL.
But--again--to each her/his own!
Second hand embrassed, anyone? (holla, LTT/LTR!)
Actually, the "La Tua Cantante" one is nice. The others.... Yeah, that's just too bad.
I have been designing mine for over a year now, It will have La Tua Cantante, possibly the heart cleft, and shooting stars, I too will post it when its done on my twitter and facebook pages. No... it wont be across my chest or shoulders like that, Im not a walking billboard, my tats have meaning to me. This series has helped me look deep into myself at some things I took for granted and some things I could better appreciate. I am thankful to Stephenie for sharing it with us!
you've got to be kidding me.
you guys are all dumb if you do this
well thats devotion! BUT, trust me when i say, later in life, you will find other things that will hold your devotion, and you will wish you had made those large tatoos, much smaller...
your body has only so much canvas, and unless you hate your body, leave room for IT to shine through as well...
i just hope these girls post pics when they are 60 y/o... would LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE to see how they will look over time!!! LMAO!!!
I like the wolf pack tattoo and figure that we will see a rise in like tattoos after New Moon comes out in November.
The "la tua cantante" was my favorite, but I'm not sure what body part it was on.
I personally wouldn't get a Twilight tattoo...but I will probably never get a tattoo due to an inexplicable fear of needles.
Some of those were tacky.
i honestly think every single one of those people are going to regret those at some point, like no. 8 is just creepy! however, no.4 which is nice and at a glance its not overly twilight-ish, and it's on their wrist which i think is a nice place for a tattoo
I am actually planning to get a twilight tatoo on my 18th birthday, i am only just turning 17, but i am very excited for my 18th birthday... :D but i am still thinking on what i want to get... there are a few very aadorable tatoos here and i am considering a few, but i also want to be original.
"La Tua Cantante" is adorable, but the rest it's way too much for me. A tattoo it's a good way to remind your self every day of your life what twilight meant to you, but I'd never got one of these, cause even I love Twilight right now I don't know how i'm gonna feel about it in twenty years
I can understand gettting a small tattoo of something Twilight related if you are a HUGE fan, but some of these are just ridiculous. I wonder if they will still like them in 20 years?
Damn, I wish I had the expertise to invent a high-tech laser tattoo removal system of some sort. When this generation grows up, I could make a fortune! I read that 60% of people regret getting them eventually. In the meantime, to each their own...
This is why people think that all Twi fans are crazy. These few people who are just off their rocker. I'm a closet twi fan and thanks to these ladies, I'll stay there.
Wow! Are these kids for real? Most of the line ones are great, maybe not in the best locations...but...they are pretty. The book cover things look kind of cheesy. I'm so with Lisa, this is why I'm a closet fan.
I have to say I'm embarassed for them!
I think the "La Tua Cantante" one was pretty and simple. It's not going to draw in the attention the others are...and it's not good attention ladies...come on!
I dig tattoos, I have 5 of my own, but... I agree with a lot of the people down there -- Twilight? It's a book. About people who don't really exist. The ones that are mostly visible -- what about jobs or as many have said, husbands, b/fs etc. I never argue with one's own decision on their tattoos; but I made sure when I had mine designed it was something that mattered to me I could live with for the rest of my life... some of those are outrageous.
Tattoos are a pretty big deal they are with you forever and if your going to get one it should have true meaning behind it, it should be about who you are and something you know you will not end up regretting. These tattoos...well I don't know it's a little to much for me and these people will prob. end up regretting them later on in life. I'm a pretty big Twilight fan but NOT like this!
While I love the books, and may have watched the movie many, many times, I cannot see myself getting a Twilight tattoo. There is a fine line between loving something, and being so obsessed that it makes you want to mark your body. Most of it was horribly done, with the exception of a quote or two, that I would be embarrassed to have it on my body. One day they will have to explain the meaning, and it will not be a great story, but a tale of obsession that went way too far.
I have a Tattoo on my back with my little girls name and then I have under it 'Plus Que Ma propre vie' which means more than my own life that is on the locket Bella gave Renesmee I thought it was so nice and sums up the love I have for my little girl
This is extremely depressing...I'm not against tattoos (I have one on my ribcage of the symbols of Frank Lloyd Wright's Organic Commandment -words to live by). There's nothing in Twilight I would commemorate in ink forever anywhere on my body. Unbelievable.
I like tattoos... and I love Twilight... but I wouldn't put them together. It's just a little much for me...
I did like the "la tua cantante" one. That was cute.
i'd like to see their grandkid's faces when one day in the future they have to explain this to them.
seriously, these people are obsessed! i love the books, they're possibly one of my favorites, but i also like harry potter and there's no way i'd ever get a tattoo of that.
tattoos should be simple things, not book covers. weird.
I'm a Twilight fan forever more, but getting a tattoo like this is like tattooing the name of your boyfriend on your body. Never a good idea. But to each his or her own, I guess.
La Tua Cantante tatt is very pretty but not a fan of the book cover ones, they are slightly OTT!. I love tattoos and have a lovely little bat on my wrist (slightly twilight inspired because bats make me think of vampires!)
I LOVE the Twilight saga and the movie. But, getting a tattoo is sorta over the top. Especially the one across the neck. Yes, many people may be in love with the Twilight saga now, but how about 30 years from now....
I think to each his own. Some are a little extreme, but I have a quote from the book that I am more than likely going to get. I love the books, and it applies to my life, so love it or hate, I have no shame in any of my ink. If you are sure you want it, go for it.
I really love the books, and tattoos too. but it's just so sad when the tattoo artist can't draw. it makes some of the tattoo's that could have been great, really bad and not worth having... so sad
i actually have a twilight tattoo. and i have had it for over a year now and have yet to regret it. i didnt get it because of the movie, or because i was overly absessed with the books. To me books are a very important part of who i am. this saga has helped me incredibly. i do see how some would think it was ridiculous and such. and to be honest i would not get some of those things seen in the slide show. but i do love my twilight inspired tattoo. And as Suz said, to each their own...
I cannot wait to turn 18. I plan on getting a couple of twilight inspired tats on me. People say twilighters will regret it, but I sure as hell won't. I loved twilight before it was a phenomenon and I will until the day I die. I want to commemorate that on me. People should be thinking about idiots who put a pimped out car or naked woman on themselves.
i absolutely LOVE Twilight and i want a twilight tat really bad. i do not want one where everyone can see. i want it to be hidden so that its really special to me. also, i could never go over the top and get something huge like on my chest or something. but i do really want one. and i intend to get it. :D
Okay these tattoo might be a bit to extreme...But I would love to get a twilight tattoo. There a quote in Eclipse that I love and I would like to get i tattoed when I'm older. Or maybe just a cresent moon behind my ear.
well for one, I am a Twi-hard ... and I don't think it's wrong to have a tattoo to show your appreciation for the series and the movie series ... It just show people that they are willing to show the world what they love ... Nothing wrong with that ... I've seen where people get tattoo of serial killers from Halloween, Freddy Kruger, and other scary movies ... See, I see no sense in those tattoos ... Their just plain weird ... Yes some tattoos that are twilight ones are weird to people who doesn't love twilight ... , but stop and think of the ones that really love ... and I mean, LOVE, LOVE Twilight ... Maybe you should think about that one a little. By the way, TWILIGHT RULES! lol.
your tattos rock
i love jasper
I LOVE THESE PICS THEY ARE SO COOL...... I LOVE THAM .....
LOVE EM PEACE OUT HAPPY HILODAYS THEY ROCK
Wow. Seriously? Go read some writing that is actually good. This garbage is so poorly written that I couldn't get more than two pages in without feeling nauseous. Get a Twain or Dickens quote before this trash. Sedaris, Guterson, and Palahniuk are better than this stuff and they are current and can actually write. I feel sorry for anyone who does this to themselves.
Well I have a twilight tattoo mines says be safe...n I love it sooo much im getting the new moon flower next...I love twilight every hater up in here is just mad they can't get a tattoo as well....
The one on the hip "I know who I cant live without" is mine(very bad pic taken RIGHT after it was done), that is my picture, I am 20,and I got it because of what it means. If you just see it, most people don't even know it is from Twilight, and thats what I wanted. I am over all these people saying, "Your going to regret that" Who are you to tell me what I will regret? I don't understand people.
If you want to see a better picture of my tattoo you can go to my blog, twerdnation.blogspot.com
(it is from Eclipse, Ch 27, Page 610, 12th line down, 2nd word.)
