It's been pretty obvious to most Twilight fans that this year's San Diego Comic Con (unlike the last two, which included huge panels with the cast and filmmakers from Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon) wouldn't include anything on the Saga, but Cinematical has confirmed that fact for sure.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's promotions were in large part carried out via the mid-June press junket and the wealth of cast appearances at the Official Twilight Convention stop in Los Angeles, and at this point the film is already out.
As far as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is concerned, there'll be plenty of time for next year - especially since production is a few months down the road and things are still in the scripting/casting/location scouting phase at this point.
So, the Twilight series will be taking a break from Comic Con this year. As much guff as the Saga's fans have gotten about participating in the event, people are probably all around relieved at this fact.
Still, it raises an interesting question: Do you think that a Breaking Dawn panel should take place at next year's Comic Con, or would you prefer to see things handled the way that they were this year with Eclipse? Why? Comment below with your thoughts!

I don't think Comic Con was very welcoming or supportive. I don't think they appreciated all the revenue they received from Twilight fans. I say do what they did this go round with twi-tour panels & special appearances. Just my 2 cents. :)
I agree with Ali - I think the Twilight Saga is special and that the panels should be for the fans at a Twilight Convention. It's the fans of this series that show up and are committed to it's success. If they do the Twilight Convention next year, I'd be more likely to attend that than comic-con.
THAT figures... since I'll be at ComicCon NOTHING Twilight will be happening :( sucks to be me... waaaaa
But I did get to see all of them at the Twilight Convention in Los Angeles so that was cool.
I dont think that ComicCon really likes the "twihards" attending. Twilight panel should stick to the Twicon.
I thinks a twilight convention is so much better, because we have that power and is just for twi-hards
I say do BOTH. Marketing wise it makes sense to do Comic-Con to reach more people and those wouldn't go to a TwiCon AND to do the more intimate TwiCon to keep your supportive fan base happy.
I just wish someone besides Creation would do it - they treat you more like criminals than fans who paid them a heck of a lot of money to be there.
they should just stick to the twilight conventions. if they can have their own convention, why go to someone elses.
I like the ideal of Twilight conventions but they need to do a big one with everybody one each coast.
