In an effort to do their part for the relief of victims of the Haiti earthquake disaster, The Runaways stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning (who also work together in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) are participating in a charity auction run called the "Heal Haiti Charitybuzz Auction."
To participate, the two signed a snowboard (alongside other celebrities) which has gone up for bidding at Charitybuzz.
The specific charity being aided by this particular item is the American Red Cross Haitian Relief Fund, according to Look to the Stars.
This isn't the first time Kristen Stewart has gotten involved in Haiti relief efforts. When promoting Welcome To The Rileys at Sundance, Stewart also helped to raise a few thousand dollars for the cause.
The two join many of their Twilight series co-stars in their Haiti relief efforts, including Anna Kendrick, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Rachelle Lefevre, who all participated in "Hope for Haiti." Both Stewart and Fanning were at the Sundance Film Festival (promoting The Runaways) during the telethon, so they were unable to participate, but it's great to see them do what they can!

Now I understand why I have not heard Kristen's name right off the bat regarding Haiti relief fund events this past month.
The reason is according to this article is not the first time Kristen contributed to the cause. This explains why she has not been in the news recently.
She's back and I see her hair is growing back too. I wish her great fortune.
