Kellan Lutz for Calvin Klein
When the announcement came down that The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Kellan Lutz would be modeling for Calvin Klein's underwear advertisement campaign, many were intrigued as to how this actor-turned-model would look in the photos.
Wonder no more, for the first photograph from Lutz's Calvin Klein campaign has finally been revealed.
About the shoot, Lutz revealed to People Magazine that because of his background in modeling, he considered the job the "pinnacle."
"What more can you do," he said, "than be on a billboard for something that you grew up thinking was super sexy and classy? It’s really prestigious and I love it."
Lutz also talked about his strategy for being able to pull off such a shoot.
With modeling, there are guys who do the Zoolander thing and it shows off as desperation,” says Lutz. “You just have to have confidence, kick back and have fun with it.” As for his newly beefed up sex symbol image, the star offers this (perhaps flawed) perspective. “I don’t see myself as perfect. I never will be and I never want to be,” he says. “I’m not the good-looking guy with the nice hair like [Twilight co-star] Rob Pattinson. I enjoy being not so pretty.
According to New York Magazine, Lutz will be featured alongside "The Deep End star Mehcad Brooks, Spanish tennis player Fernando Verdasco and Japanese soccer player Hidetoshi Nakata" and "in March, the stunning black-and-white photographs, taken by Mikael Jansson, will be prominently displayed in magazines, commercials and billboards."

Not so pretty? Wow, Summit has been lying to this guy in order to inflate someone else's ego. He looks a thousand times BETTER and PRETTIER than Rob Pattinson. Rob Pattinson only looks good in the deluded minds of people who think he is Edward. Kellan on the other hand, ACTUALLY looks good. He doesn't have Pattinson's spooky looking eyes, twisted nose, or wolf-like hairy eyebrows. Kellan is the CLASSIC picture of a handsome man. There is a reason that Kellan was picked as the original Edward and that there was an internet campaign against Pattinson when people saw his ugly mug. Kellan will always be Edward to me. The only problem I have with the poster is why is there a big X in the middle of the picture, you can barely see his body or abs. It makes it look like a giant rejection. They should just have the X symbol to the side not at the center.
May be persuaded to join Team Emmett after that tasty shot!

I fore see many many accidents caused by this man being plastered on billboards all over the nation. Damn that man is HOT! If I hadn't already been an avid Kellan fan this would definitely have swayed me from the dark side. LOL I agree that the X is not positioned well. I can see the need to have it but it should not detract from the shots of the models. No, I'm not just saying that because I can't see his body clearly. If you are going to have models show of your product, do it right. Otherwise just give us a pic of your boxers and be done with it. I'm not stating that right but I'm not sure how else to word it.
