Muse, Robert Pattinson, Linkin Park, Paramore . . . you know the names. These are all fantastic artists that made their way onto a little soundtrack called Twilight last year. A soundtrack which made its way to the top of the Billboard 200 list (to be followed by its certified platinum sequel New Moon), into the Grammy nominations list, as a winner at the American Music Awards, and, of course, into the memorized minds and affected hearts of millions of Twilight fans.
Adding to the heavy list of accolades is this: the Twilight soundtrack has been placed on Billboard's "Best of the 2000's" soundtrack edition, and it made it all the way up to seventh place!
Just behind the soundtracks for O Brother, Where Art Thou?, High School Musical, 8 Mile, Hannah Montana, High School Musical 2, and Hannah Montana 2 (okay, so no one said these were all the greatest choices), Twilight comes in taking the lead above heavy-hitters like Shrek, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Mamma Mia!, The Cheetah Girls, Hannah Montana: The Movie, Coyote Ugly, Bad Boys II, Ray, Tupac: Resurrection, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, Get Rich Or Die Tryin', The Cheetah Girls 2, Walk The Line, Camp Rock, and Garden State.
So, now all we need is that Grammy! January 31st here we come!

I think and not because it's the twilight soundtrack or something related to it..but in my opinion the twilight soundtrack is so much better than some of the soundtracks that are higer in the list..and it says that a person that rarely like more than a few songs in a movie soundtrack and in this case.. I like all the songs!! there are so many different kind of artists and different kind of music into this soundtrack that made it for me one of the best I've ever heard
the twilight sound track is better all most all of the above where twilight is lister...really hannan montana..and HSM(well this should b somewhere after..and really bothe hanna montanas...some 1 has it wrong...how can u put Chicago all the way down there and moulian ruge and mammama mia and walk the line
The Twilight Soundtrack is one of the best movie soundtracks to come along in a long time. A real variety of artists of all kinds; every song is good and stands up on its own; and they all combine to really give you the feel of the movie. Just like all the good, classic movie soundtracks USED to do.
For me, as a TwiMom in my late 30s, the soundtrack introduced me to new artists I'd never heard of, and I LOVE this CD!! It was required daily listening for months, and I still go back to it. It's just a great album altogether. Glad to see it get real recognition.
The Twilight soundtrack deserves all the recognition it can get. It really did transport you to Forks and to Bella's and Edward's world. Well done.
it is weird to not see the cheetah girls one world. because the first 2 are in the list
It definitely is a great soundtrack! It was much deserved! :)
