Good news has come for those of us who were hoping to see Stephenie Meyer get involved in another Twilight-related project. According to Entertainment Weekly, "Yen Press will be publishing Twilight in graphic-novel form, publication date still to be determined. Though Korean artist Young Kim is creating the art, Meyer herself is deeply immersed in the project, reviewing every panel."
The photo here is one slide obtained by EW for the announcement, and Tina Jordan, who wrote the release article opines that it is symbolic of the textual Edward Cullen and Bella Swan more so than the film representation of the two by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson (an opinion with which you may beg to differ).
Over the years, many comic book-style artists have penned their own Twilight frames and panels, and one can clearly see the skill required and portrayed in bringing these scenes to life. Thusly, in addition to our enjoyment of one interpretation of the story through the films, we will also get to see it through this medium.

I never thought Stephenie would allow this--I am so happy! My husband might actually let me frame some of these for the walls being a graphic novel nerd himself.
I am THRILLED to see Twilight being brought to this form. I think the animation should be true to the book as that is the original story we have all fallen in love with.
I would also love to see wall art from the story available, too.
Oh my gosh... Seriously? I mean, really? I dunno, I've never really liked Twilight, but I have to say... Still won't like it because of this.
Bella looks like a demi-bimbo in that panel, her shirt is just awful, she doesn't seem like the type that should have the "pity me!" low self-esteem I know her for and... what's with her lower lip? Was she punched?
I won't even comment on Edward's looks; it's just THAT bad...
Ummm... ok, now I'm worried. I remember the horrendous graphic novels they did of Buffy and Angel and I don't think this is a good idea. I'm sorry, but I honestly think this is a BAD idea.
I don't like the idea, Twilight is not suppose to be funny!
Everyone tht is knocking this idea is stupid! I think this will make Twilight be liked on ALL levels now... I love to read.. Love Movies... and Love Anime, Comics, whatever you wanna call it.. I personally think this will match up better with the book than the movie. And I agree Bella does need to look more...shy, akward and so on.. But Edward has the face of Adonis.. which is mentioned in the book.. Nuff Said! -_-
