Sam Trammell, who portrays Sam Merlotte in HBO's True Blood (which returned for a second series last night), has admitted that he hasn't seen Twilight (a similar sentiment that his co-star Stephen Moyer had a while back - see here).
However, said he, "I should though, just so I can answer questions about it."
Trammell, who was recently interviewed by Interview Magazine, said that his favorite vampire series aside from the True Blood series is Let The RIght One In. In the interview, though, he was not presented with the same questions as his co-stars were (such as whether the True Blood and Twilight vampires could peacefully co-exist and, if not, what a rumble between them would look like).

I really like how they make the vampires move quickly in Trueblood (not sure how it's done exactly, perhaps just speeding up the frames?), as opposed to the very fake running on ropes that was done in Twilight. I'm hoping Chris Weitz ditched that and took a hint from Trueblood.
And Sam Trammell is adorable.
He should see Twilight only if he wants to and if he can find the time. He should not feel as if he has to see it just so he can answer questions about his series True Blood which is Much better! Besides Twilight is crap compared to True Blood! No Offense...LOL
