Whoa, boy.
Another True Blood vampire speaks of Twilight vampires. This time, though, the sentiment was more passive-aggressive than most.
Alexander Skarsgard, who plays Eric Northman in the HBO series, was caught at the airport, and when asked about Twilight vampires, said "They're cute ... adorable."
Northman's comments were quite different than those of his co-star Stephen Moyer, but they are sure to add to the furor that seems to lie between Twilight fans and True Blood fans, in some cases.
Update: One of my readers has pointed out the fact that Skarsgard and Kellan Lutz appeared together in "Generation Kill," a show she says is "very buddy buddy."

The thing is, they are 2 totally different shows. True Blood is a series with many books, is more R rated, and is what parents probably don't let the kiddies watch:) Twilight is every girls fantasy no matter the age. They are both equally great productions and I am just thankful we have them. I am also sure that each and every actor is just a little overwhelmed when constantly asked of the other show. If people don't like the answers, then don't ask such lame questions. Let them act so we can enjoy the outcome. Eye Candy people..ENJOY IT!!!

Why is this even a big deal?
Twilight is fantasy with pretty kids, the ideal man, and no sex or violence - it's for teens (though I'm in my 30s and love it)The Twilight vamps ARE adorable. Hello RPattz?
True Blood is about sex and violence and all of the beautiful weirdness of the world. People are pretty AND deadly. It's for adults. Viva la difference!
I am so sick of hearing about True Blood. The show should be kissing Robert's feet because there is NO WAY it would have got half the attention it got if it weren't for Twilight kicking off the Vampire craze. I watch True Blood and it's a good show but not a great show. And the fact that the actors on True Blood seem to think they need to take swipes at Twilight just shows they are carrying a big chip on their shoulders.

Not everyone is a Twilight fan. I love Stephen Moyer and his character of Vampire Bill on True Blood.
ACTUALLY, Charline Harris' Southern Vampire Novels came out way before Twilight, and there are quite a lot of similarities to Charlines books. Twilight is no where near as complex and emotionally wrentching as True Blood. The vampires are tame compared to True Blood. Twilight is quite obviously geared to a younger audience who are not developed mentally enough to understand True Blood.
IN NO WAY does True Blood owe homage to Twilight for "starting the vampire craze." The craze has been around since Anne Rice and whoever said that is VERY ignorant of facts and reality.
Apples and oranges folks.
Twilight appeals to a younger audience, whereas True Blood is geared toward the adult crowd.
I am a fan of both twilight and true blood They are two very different shows so I am switzerland on the debate
