Grab your headphones, people, because the time to sample the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon is now upon us.
Over at Amazon, several seconds of listening previews are now available for each of the songs on the New Moon soundtrack!
Everything from Muse to Grizzly Bear is now live on the soundtrack page, and things are looking (er, sounding) pretty good!
A big thank you to Muse, perhaps? A nice open-armed hug to The Killers? A visual of some of the many colorful images to be seen in the film thanks to Alexandre Desplat? Yes, yes, and oh yes.

I like it! There are probably two songs on there that I don't like. The Editors' song 'No Sound But The Wind' being the one I like the least. Perhaps it will grow on me once I see where it is in the film. I'm most looking forward to hearing the complete versions of The Killer's 'A White Demon Love Song' and Thom Yorke's 'Hearing Damage'. I'm already a big fan of Anya Marina and Death Cab's songs. Looks like a great soundtrack and Entertainment Weekly already gave it an 'A'!
To be quite honest..the cd doesn't seem to match the quality of the first one. But again, this movie is a different "animal" Am I missing something?
Ok, first let me say that I am not a fan of indie music if that is what you call the sound of these songs. I don't like any of them (except the classical one!) I feel that the singers don't have good voices at all. I am sure I will get jumped for this but I am disappointed; and I love the Twilight soundtrack. I listen to it about every other day.
I'm not sure I'm gonna like this CD as well as Twilight.. I like 2 songs, Equinox and I Belong to You.. the rest are too indie or whatever you want to call them.. I can't wait to hear the Score for the movie cuz Alexandre Desplat has done some great scores for other movies.
I love it! With the popularity this movie already has, it's going to give these slightly lesser known bands a jumpstart in their carrers. ALSO, it stays much more in line with Stephenie Meyer's New Moon Playlist than I feel Twilight did. I'm hoping her musical input was taken into consideration.
I think this soundtrack is going to be a very different "animal" than Twilight - because the Director (Chris Weitz) is so different - Fresh! As well, I think the principal actors probably had some influence on the band choices since they (especially Robert, Kristen, Kellan, Nikki, and Ashley) all enjoy Indie music. I think it's going to be good, but I sure wish there was going to be a Robert Pattinson tune on it! Like "I'll be your lover too" Yum!
