It is finally here, ladies and gentlemen. The official poster for The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been released by Summit Entertainment for our viewing pleasure, and it's a good one.
Showing stars Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), and Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), the poster clearly reflects the challenge faced by our three most beloved characters in this, the film adaptation of New Moon by Stephenie Meyer.
Between the expressions on their faces, the positioning of their stances, and the luxuriously beautiful setting of the three, this poster goes to show that a picture really is worth a thousand words.
With fan anticipation for The Twilight Saga: New Moon at an all-time high as filming wraps in Vancouver and makes its way to Italy, the release of this piece couldn't come at a better time.

I see Jacob protecting Bella from Edward (standing closer than I imagined he would) angry, hateful towards Edward. I see Bella, one hand on Jacobs arm gently as if to say "Thank you, Jacob, you are my best friend and I love you" and standing just close enough knowing he will protect her but also standing facing Edward wanting Jacob to understand that she still wants to be with HIM... and Edward.. Pain, Jealousy, Angst. .... and after another glance, Call me CRAZY but Edward has that look on his face like he is reading Jacobs mind and Jacob in picturing Bella the day Sam found her in the woods, Jacob has that angry yet satisfied look on his face... OH YES, definately, In this picture Jacob is giving Edward an "eye-full"

I love this poster but to be honest I think it kinda looks like it should be from eclipse..were edward is jealous and bella is torn between the too. just my opinions though
I think that summit is giving in to the obsession of Robert Pattinson & the love for Edward Cullen. Bella & Jacob should be in front, with Edward in the back. Like if the bodies were flipped it would be ok...
i love it, i personally think its where bella finds out edward is alive and she wants to go save him but jacob doesnt approve because of his feelings. anyway...i love it, i just finished reading breking dawn....i cried...i want more :( lol 10/10 :)
Hey Roxanne, make sure you read the online only beginning of Midnight Sun. Go to Stephenies official website for a link to the adobe link... it will give you one short fix of Edward and Bella (and a glimpse into his families and her friends minds) you will like it!
What I see here - and it's the crux of the story, really - is a very clear love triangle. Basically, what Summit wants to highlight in this movie is the relationship angle.
Jake's in the middle, between Bella and Edward, who has his back turned on Bella. Edward WANTS to look over his shoulder at Bella, but he won't let himself do it. Bella's holding onto AND peeking over Jake, hopeful, and Jake's looking over HIS shoulder, at Edward, with a murderous look. It reflects the relationships exactly.
Bella loves Edward, so she looks for him, even if he 'turns his back' on her. Meanwhile, she sees Jake as her 'sun', so she supports herself by holding onto him, unconsciously hurting Jake - giving him hope while not meaning to at all.
Jake is trying to protect Bella; his body is facing her, while his head is turned towards Edward. Basically, he's protecting and attacking at the same time. (Jake's favorite way to taunt Edward in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn is recalling how Bella looked when Sam found her in the woods, for Edward to see.)
Edward is in the foreground, hinting at the fact that he may not be physically present during most of the movie, but he certainly will be a focal point. He's almost-looking over his shoulder - like he wants Bella, but he's keeping himself away from her for her own safety.
And may I just say that Taylor is so much hawter with short hair? =]

I LOVE the new poster. But I feel it represent more of Eclipse than it does New Moon. Even though Edward was present throughout the book in Bella's mind, I think that the poster puts too much attention on him rather than on Bella. But I still absolutely LOVE it... Rob and Taylor look great and Kristen looks really pretty!
I agree with what most of you are saying and this is going to sound a little perverted coming from me because I am one of those older fans but I think Jacob should have been shirtless since he is half naked throughout the next book. Just my opinion though ! I do love the poster. I think I'm going to love the makeup and hair so much better in this move. Wigs are better and so far what I've seen, the makeup isn't so powdery looking and the stained lips are toned down. Edward doesn't looked quite and plucked as in the first movie..of course I'd take him plucked or not !! I just want to look at him.

This poster completely captures the very essence of New Moon. The 3 most important people are included, their posture and facial expressions are spot on and the love triangle that Bella is in is definately noticable. Well done Summit!!

Wow, truly amazing. It's beautiful. I can not wait for the movie! it's going to be awesome. I know it. I love how Bella is holding Jacob and Edward is kinda off... It's wonderfull and Im so happy to *finaly* see it.

OMG O_O......I LOVE IT!!!....it does seem more for Eclipse but it really works wit New Moon...and im totally glad that they got some more stuff out for it cause i cant wait any longer!!!.....but i still love it ^_^

I LOOOOOVE IT! Especially the way Jake protects Bella and looks furious at Edward.
It's also nice the way Edward looks devasteded. Like he is in actual pain for staying away from Bella while she is holding on to her "Sun" and looking for him.
One word: PERFECT.

Wow, its really good. But i do have a few complaints:
1st off, it looks like Jacob is shielding Bella from Edward. Ya, ya, i know, i know, Jake does try to do that in the books, but still =[ I don't like it! Bella and Edward are meant to be, and it ticks me off that Jake is getting in the way lol im Team Edward all the way, and i just don't like that part... lol
well ok so i guess i only had one complaint lol
Now, what i do like about it:
1st, i love the look on Edwards face! It is just great, there is a bit pain, and it looks like he is concentrating hard on something, so i would assume he is reading Jake's mind lol (well that is what it looks like at least)
Jacob, well its obvious that the expression there is pure hate! LOL
Bella has an almost defiant look. She is saying, "ya, so i love a werewolf, but i love a vampire more, and there is nothing you can do about it" Or maybe you get the impression that she seems to be pleading for understanding
All in all, a great poster! Lol and i know its silly to dissect the picture, but its still fun to do so! lol (and yes i do have a life outside twilight lol)
I love that Edward is facing away as if he was leaving her and that Jacob is shielding Bella from it. I also love the colorscheme and mist. I don't like Bella's (K.S) expression though. She looks too seductive.
I just love it. There's nothing to complain about.

I love the composition the background the way the make the image appear and what not. I just have to complain about the positioning of the characters, edward leaves, bella turns to jacob but the way jacob and edwards back is turned to each other its symbolic but it's confusing especially with the look on her face OMG....
overall i guess i kinda want an explanation from whoever put this piece together because me myself interpreting it or reading others critique upsets me when the person who put i together doesn't add their two sense into it.
It's a lovely poster if you haven't read the book. But if you've read New Moon then I'd put Jacob front and center, with Bella beside him and Edward behind them because New Moon is half about Jake. Edward is a voice in Bella's mind for half the book so having him behind them would be better. But hey, I love all three actors and characters so whatever - can't wait to see the film.
This poster has set me up for a fall in love all over again with twilight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i freakin love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Umm...does anyone else think this doesn't really look like Taylor? I mean, I've seen recent pictures of him and he doesn't really look like a little boy anymore, but...this doesn't look like him at all.

I think Bella should be looking at Edward, it would mke more sense, rather than her clinging to Jacob, but i still like the poster overall ?
The poster gets most of the emotion spot on.
Bella should look a little more distressed tho because she just lost the love of her life!Go team edward!
but overall i love it and hope it brings out the same emotions the book did!

This poster is amazing, and captures the tone pretty perfectly. However, I feel that Rob should be behind Kristen and Taylor because they have bigger roles in this movie than he does. Just my opinion.
