The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will not just hit mainstream theaters on June 30, 2010, but it'll also be released to IMAX as well, according to a recent announcement by Twilight film studio Summit Entertainment.
The announcement came as another "200K exclusive" on Twitter - meaning, a treat for Twilight followers who helped to gain the studio over 200,000 Twilight series followers on the social network.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse promises to be a very intense film with dramatic cinematography, so it'll make sense to see it on IMAX, don't you think?

Don't they have to film it in IMAX to begin with? How can they decide to show it in IMAX if they didn't use IMAX cameras?
That is so awesome!! I'm like having convulsions over here! lol A fellow twilighter friend and I were talking about how it would've been so awesome if we could watch New Moon @ IMAX theatre. Thanks so much Summit!!!!
IMAX??? Wow... although I don't think they have a commercial IMAX theater in San Diego... only the one at the museum.
Awesome news, I can't wait to see it. I wish it was now, I hate the wait. Thank you Summit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You realize it wasn't shot in IMAX, right? They blow it up...it isn't real IMAX.
I hope it isn't in select IMAX theaters because ours wouldn't have it. There is only one IMAX theater in our state. If they have it, it will be packed.
Yay! I get to watch Eclipse at a Muesem for little kids. (Marbles in NC.) It's the closest IMAX Theater. :(
Got something to say?
