'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.
This morning, the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has finally been unveiled!
The ten second teaser issued yesterday is indeed a part of the theatrical trailer, but it is the least of all things where this teaser is concerned.
In the new video, quite a few quotes from the project are revealed.
For starters, a portion of Edward's proposal to Bella seems to have been included.
"Isabella Swan, I promise to love you every moment of forever," he says.
Then, we get a glimpse of the Volturi guard, and Jane says "She's still human," and "the Volturi don't give second chances."
Pan back to Bella's bedroom where she and Edward lay talking . . .
"Why are you so against me becoming like you?" she asks.
"I know the consequences of the decision you're making," he answers.
Then we get a glimpse of both Charlie and Renee.
"After a few decades, everyone you know will be dead," he continues.
Of course, enter Jacob.
"You wouldn’t have to change for me, Bella. I’m in love with you, and I want you to pick me instead of him," Jacob says to Bella.
After that, we get the first glimpse at the Edward/Jacob dynamic when Jacob tells Edward, "You have to consider the idea that I might be better for her than you are."
Next, Victoria is revealed.
"Edward, she found us," Bella ominously states.
Of course, her companions are, as in the book, not afraid to step up for her.
"I'll protect you no matter what," offers Edward.
"I'm going to fight for you until your heart stops beating," adds Jacob.
Aside from just quotes, the trailer introduced a few important things about The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. For starters, it showed the imagery of these particular moments. Scenic landscapes, stunning close-ups, and the like are all part and parcel of Eclipse, just as they were with Twilight and New Moon. A win for fans.
Second, Victoria is revealed. It seems that the carryover of the character from New Moon isn't going to be terribly off the mark, at least from these shots.
Another facet of the film that is revealed in this trailer is the score. If this is a sample of the work being composed by Howard Shore, then things are shaping up quite nicely in that regard as well.
While there are still a ton of moments and characters yet to be seen with Eclipse, the things provided here are quite satisfactory for a first glimpse, don't you think?

Not to sure if I like the new Victoria. She doesn't look the same and I'm not sure if the intensity of her character will shine. Can't wait for the movie though. Go Team Edward!

TOTALLY awesome. I think this installment will be the best by far. Although it took me 3 or 4 views of the trailer to understand the "Why are you so against..." and "In a few decades..." lines. And I think they mumbled lines a little too much in New Moon too. But I'm still totally happy!

I love it, the scenes are beautiful made, the colors, and god the music! I loved the soundtrack from Alexandre Desplast but this sounds amazing. I can not wait

Looks great! I can't wait to see it in its entirety! I was concerned with the talks about the "color" of the film, I personally didn't like Twilight's blue-ish tint. This looks gorgeous right now, and it seems that the director is keeping the colors similar to New Moon.
I remember ready LaineyGossip ragging on the wig KS had to wear for Bella and I think it looks great.
Summit knows how to make us sick from waiting. We've got a few things on the horizon: the graphic novel, New Moon on DVD & Blu-ray.

After watching it again (and again and again), I noticed that it does have a hint of blue to the film... not as overpowering as Twilight though. Still, it looks beautiful! It seems all of my doubts about the new director may be unwarranted.
I see some things that are going along with the book but the new Victoria Iam not sure i like her to much. I didn't like the wig KS had at first but after seeing it a lil more it looks good.
LOVED It!!! I warned my BF that Twilight Madness (the release of New Moon to DVD and Eclipse hitting theaters in June) was about to begin 3 days ago, last night we saw our first New Moon DVD commercials and now this!!! I feel the all consuming excitement beginning to build again....my poor BF! LOL. <3 <3 <3!!!

Well.. I thought New Moon was going to be better than Twilight after seeing the trailer, but I think I was wrong. New Moon was good, but I was a bit disappointed. It looks amazing - the cinematography, the special effects, the colours, the editing and all that (and yes, Chris is a genius), but the screenplay is bleah, awful. It's like a bunch of different movies were put together, it looks just awful. Especially at the end - I was like: whaaaat? when did all that happen? And the answer was: in about 5 minutes. It's frustrating, it deserved a better script..
Still, can't wait to see Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. I hope Eclipse is better. Looks good from this trailer, but then again.. so did New Moon. That's the thing with book adaptations, especially books that big :P the writers could never ever get it right. Oh, but they can.. see Lord of the Rings. Hehe.
p.s. don't even think about picking on my post. my point of view, my opinion. thanks :)

I hesitate to reread Eclipse I afraid if it is fresh on my mind it my affect my opinion on the movie. Looks good though so far...I wish RP would lighten up a little as Edward he needs to be getting use to Bella I mean he STILL has that "I smell something stinky" look on his face LOL!!! If we are ever going to get to pillow biting he needs to ~Relax~said Frankie LOL!! So glad we don't have to wait until November...it will be easier standing in line for hours in June :)
I agree with Terry I think I like the old Victoria better...and Bella looks absolutley amazing I was worried her wig would look like Jacobs/Taylors did in Twilight that would suck!
Scenes most looking forward too...When Edward tells Bella to quit trying to take her clothes off...Hilarious and the tent scene only because the book wasn't clear on the conversation between Jacob and Edward wondering how that will come across on screen...
So much I hope they never left one little inkling out like the look on Bella's face she sees Edward behind her after leaving La Push on her way to Angeles and the look on Alice's face when she jumps on the back of Jacobs Motorcycle scares she will loose her Porsche... Ok I am going to read Eclipse again I can't get enough LOL!!

The trailor looks quite good... I hope that David can really grasp the idea of Eclipse and make it better than New Moon and Twilight put together... Im not liking Bryce Dallas Howard or whatever her name is lol as Victoria... she just doesn't quite fit. and plus her hair isn't as long as the old victorias(i know, i'm OCD lol)
And I was reallllly worried about Kristens wig looking all tacky, but it doesn't look too bad... we shall see... lol

For the most part the trailer looks awesome!!I hope and pray that they can stay by the book!! And not leave so much out like they did in New Moon. I also Hope this Move and the Last one Are longer because so many things happen and you dont want to forget all of the important elements of the movie!!!. I cant Wait though!! So im wondering... what are they going to do about the sex scene((in the water))??? Hmmmm

it seems they took a whole great effort to make this Twilight saga Eclipse perfect from the musical score, special effects,cinematography,the fantastic selection of varied roles, to special types of actors and actresses,and to be so true to the book is a perfect reflection of the genius of the director and everyone that took a part of the film especially of course to the central characters of Bella, Edward & Jacob, Carlisle, Charlie, Alice, Jasper & Rosalie...well done people. I am looking forward to seeing it....
