'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.
Want to see seven minutes of footage related to The Twilight Saga: Eclipse? Yes? Oh, good because it's definitely possible as of March 20th!
According to a recent press release (at Twilight Lexicon), WalMart is offering an exclusive The Twilight Saga: New Moon fan edition on DVD.
Fans can pre-order The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition on DVD or Blu-ray, as well as the national two-disc Special Edition DVD or Special Edition Blu-ray, today at Walmart.com. . . . The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition also contains an exclusive, 7-minute sneak peek of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. It begins with an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the production of the newest film. New interviews with stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, as well as with series-creator Stephenie Meyer, are integrated with revealing on-the-set footage of some of the key scenes and sets from the upcoming movie. This first-look at The Twilight Saga: Eclipse concludes with the world premiere of an actual scene from the upcoming film.
As you already know there are several editions of the DVD out there, and this is but another. Of course, the added Eclipse footage is a complete bonus for Walmart's availability, but you can still check out a list of what's out there at the various venues here.
In addition to having Eclipse footage on the fanpack, Walmart has also announced midnight DVD release parties.
With the movie release scheduled for March 20, 12:01 am, fans can be among the first to own the DVD, joining friends nationwide at midnight release events in more than 2,600 24-hour Walmart stores. The midnight release last year of the first Twilight movie brought hundreds of thousands of fans together online and in stores, becoming the most pre-ordered movie and most successful DVD movie release event in Walmart history.

I want the footage but the Target DVD seems to be the best option overall. I hate that we have all these versions. I don't have to money to buy them all. Sigh.
It seems like the Target is the best choice for sure, butttttttttt maybe I should get the Wal-mart edition too.
I just searched for the fan edition on walmart's website and it's not showing it.
In my opinion this is ridicilous, I'm not American, there's no Walmart here, so me and a lot of fans from around the world won't be able to buy it.
Walmart creeps me out. I won't even step foot in there to buy the DVD, let alone show up at midnight with hundreds of Wal-mart people for a "party".
Is there a side by side comparison of all of the available DVD's yet???
Julia... althought it might not be available immediately, after it's all released you could try Amazon's site to see if anyone is selling the edition you want. Not sure how that works shipping out of the country but it may be something to look into.
I just have to say... I CALLED IT.. three months ago I made the statement that there will be footage on the NM dvd from Eclipse.. I know you remember, Amanda...LOL We both pondered it..hahaha I feel like Alice, all future seeing... hahaha Im so happy and cant wait to see it (BTW, you can pre-ordere New Moon on iTunes.. just FYI)
Agree with Julia, not fair to fans outside of America - and there are plenty of us!
I mean this is starting to get ridicilous that they are already so many versions of the New Moon DVD and yet they keep adding to the list it seem's like every week, so far Target,Borders and Best Buy have their own versions and now Walmart has been added to the list, it total insane!! I also agree with Julia, I mean this is a worldwide thing and there's not all these store's that are releasing special DVD's in every country. I think if they put anything showing Eclipse footage that it should be put on every DVD because everyone can see it!
Yeah...not to mention versions from other countries like japan who seems to have this beautiful packaging of twilight dvd last time... i bet they will come out with their own version of eclipse as well...not fair..!!
I ordered my regular DVD from Target but I held off in getting my blue ray because I knew someone would be coming out w/another version and low and behold it's Walmart. But for those who cannot get the Eclipse clip, trust me, it's going to be posted on the internet. It'll probably keep getting removed by Summit but trust me, someone will keep posting it so you'll see it. Just head to the net after 12 am E.S.T. & someone will have it online. This is how people found out Target had the best version last year because they posted the clips. So, Summit received more sales because of it. Walmart had the weakest version last year. I still believe Target has the best version but you all make your own call. Good luck.
I think the Target edition is the best..but the Eclipse sneak peak that Wal-Mart is really tempting..I guess I will wait for someone to upload it on youtube!! :O)
