Last night, on the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, many on-lookers snapped photographs and videos of the production crew setting up a big, red barn.
The consensus seems to be that the scene beign shot involves two vampires in some sort of dream sequence. Most agree that this is probably related to Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) and his experience with the character Maria (which has been cast with Catalina Sandino Moreno).
About a month ago, Eclipse director David Slade used his Twitter to tease fans about potential filming locations for the newborn hideout and battlefield (see here). While the recipe for those sequences might not call for a barn, it is indeed a possibility.
If it is Jasper's backstory that the barn is being used for, though, there are a few select sequences to choose from. Obviously, Jasper's transformation is a definite possibility, as Maria is responsible for that handiwork. Also, the Southern Wars - battle sequences in which Jasper learns to fight and winds up protecting Maria against her many newborns - are a potentiality. The fact that Rathbone has been taking horseback riding lessons, perhaps, might be the deal-sealer on that conclusion.

I love the fact that Jackson will finally have the spotlight for a change. Go Team Jasper!
I am leaning toward Jasper's battle sequence personally...guess we will see!

i a total team jasper&alice so i'll 1/2 fun watching eclipse ^-^
Jasper's character is also a very young soldier who advances quickly within the ranks so the barn could also be used to illustrate part of his military background before meeting Maria. Nothing specifically comes to mind about a "barn" but I've only read the book 4 times....xoxo Hedda
@Maddie Marit (xoxo) that would be really cool if they paired the trailer for "Eclipse" with "New Moon." I would freak anyways. lol

Just b/c a barn isn't specifically mentioned in the book doesn't mean that it's not the location for the newborn army that Maria builds. I don't recall specific buildings being mentioned in that part of the book but i imagine the vampires wouldn't just hang out in a field all day/night, they probably had some sort of headquarters and a barn would make perfect sense.

my money says it's very likely they'll put the first teaser to Eclipse after the New Moon credits considering how close they're being released and that Eclipse should have wrapped principal by the time New Moon comes out.
i think the 1st movie to do that was Back to the Future 2, and I remember sitting through the credits of Matrix Reloaded because it was already known that the Revolutions trailer was going to be there at the end. I dont recall if Pirates of the Carribean had their trailer ready when part 2 came out.

It makes me SO HAPPY that they are including this! I am totally Team Jasper and I was so scared his backstory would not be told as it was in the book. So far it looks like it will! I can't wait!

holy shiz...hes gonna be riding a horse!!! AHHHHH!!!! god, its probably a bad idea for me to watch this movie...I'll have a heart attack and die. Although...if I die because of him...I bet Jackson Rathbone would show up at my funeral...

i just hope they include as much of the book as posible they dint go with the book very much in the 1st movie but we shall see
