The fansite Talking Twilight is hosting a Twilight convention this August in Portland, Oregon, the filming location of 2008's Twilight film by Catherine Hardwicke.
Say they,
We are going to be doing it for the local children’s hospital here and it should be a ton of fun! We are going to be recreating the prom from the movie as exactly as we can and having people attend the prom there as well as doing filming location tours and meet and greets with some of the actors.
The event, which will take place in Portland between August 28th and August 30th, is a three-day event hosting actors such as Peter Facinelli (who will be auctioned off for a dance with one fan and to sit at the breakfast table with another) and Rachelle LeFevre.
The Talking Twilight convention is a charity event, which will benefit the Doernbecher's Children's Hospital in Portland, and more information can be found at their website.

I was supposed to go, and this convention just got cancelled. Not very happy right now!
I love twilight so much, I wish that I was in it. I saw New Moon at 4 in the morning!! It was so crazy. I love Rob Pattinson and, and Taylor Lautner!!! I wish I could meet them someday. I hope. I want to go to the twilight convention so bad, please take me to go!!! I love anyone who will take me!!!!!
I was just wondering if anyone else had a problem getting their refund for this canceled convention...
I was had been talking to Elisa Cotton, the person running Talking Twilight. She told me that they had sold the rights to the convention and that the rights to the money people had paid was part of the sale. Later, she told me that the sale hadn't been completed and that until the company who wanted to purchase the rights to the celebration either signed papers for purchase or backed out, she couldn't refund any money. Now, her e-mail address has been cancelled... I think we all got ripped off.
Give Talking Twilight a break. i know the people who were doing the convention. it was cancelled do to ticket sales. they planned and worked at it and spent tons of money and worked there butt off for those kids, but they didnt get enough money in return to hold the convention. they had singers and actors and it was goign to be awesome...
