Stephenie Meyer, celebrated author and clever mind behind the Twilight series and all its infamy, is making a stance – Save the Book Babe. This program, which Meyer openly supports, has brought her, despite her reclusiveness of late, to the podium once more, is a charity which will go to benefit a friend of hers suffering from cancer.
Meyer’s contribution to the event? There are several.
The epilogue to Forever Dawn, a piece which was intended as the original sequel to Twilight (though was replaced by New Moon), which Meyer has openly sworn to never release. Says Meyer, “This piece was written January of 2004, before I had started to edit Twilight. It's pretty fluffy, just something I wrote because I wanted to spend some more time with Edward and Bella. The epilogue revolves around the minor character, Max—J Jenk's assistant—who had a slightly longer interaction with Bella in Forever Dawn. Because Twilight was still unedited, a few odd things remain, like Rosalie being called Carol. It's about 3100 words long."- Her “Eclipse Prom dress:” A “rather over-the-top dress” for “the Eclipse Prom [which] began with a fan suggestion…” (Pictured right in photo of Stephenie with the BookBabe.)
“Marked up manuscripts for Eclipse and The Host . . . early drafts of [the] novels. Both of them have notes from [the] editors and lots of small things that were later changed or deleted."
A signed Twilight advanced reading copy, one of only two of Stephenie’s own personal copies; and- A lunch date for you and a guest with Stephenie in Phoenix.
Save the Book Babe will take place on Saturday, April 4th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Marcos de Niza High School Auditorium on 6000 South Lakeshore Drive in Tempe, Arizona. Tickets are still available for the event at Project Book Babe’s website.

hey!!! its carina. i have read twilight 3 times new moon twice and i am on eclipse!! it is all soooooo much fun to read!! i sware i mean rite when i come back from school i just go shut myself in my room and lock the door so my sisetrs wont hear. i just read away!! i mean i dont even care if my family thinks im a nerd!! lol. i know i am!!! but still LOVE the whole series!!! thanks stephanie meyer.

i so wish i lived in arizona right now. i so would go to that auction and buy that book forever dawn. but it hard to convince your parents to let you go across the country in a week, over a book.:( i would love to have that lunch with SM. what do thing SM and her fan will talk about over lunch?
