As part of the press whirlwind before The Twilight Saga: New Moon's release, Robert Pattinson did an interview with the makers of "Stocking of Truth," where he drew a question as to which celebrity he'd like to kiss under the mistletoe.
Though it took him a while to ponder the question, Pattinson did eventually come up with an answer.
Ever the jokester, Pattinson picked Ricky Gervais (yes, that'd be the same Ricky Gervais from The Office).
Of course, relationship matters are usually not a topic of discussion here, but this video was too fun to pass up.

Ok. Is he for real?? I like the character he plays, Edward Cullen. But I am getting more and more of a feeling that Pattinson himself is a bit weird. I have seen him in a few interviews. Sad to say, he is a good looking chap, but the way he presents himself in interviews is less then desirable. Why can't he be upfront and say 'I'd like to kiss X (a girl),' and be done with it. He seems meek and somewhat indecisive. I read he is attracted to tough girls. I can see why. Opposites attract.
He is GAY! What straight guy would even say something like that! Gay men like to hang out with "strong women"...this is true. I have nothing against Rob. I think he's fantastic, beautiful, talented, and I wish him nothing but the very best. But let's face it....he is gay. Whatever makes him happy....that's great! All this BS with Kristen is just that....publicity and BS...she's a very strong independent girl...they are best friends and that's it!

If an "economically viable" young actor was "gender ambiguous" and didn't want to be called a liar later on, he might just be playing the game just like Rob has been - honestly. He is consistently sending us a message: I am single. I am just friends with Kristen. I think Ted Casablanca is involved in one of the most complicated PR campaigns to help Rob either stay closeted or come out of the closet that has ever hit Hollywood. And, since this would most definitely affect the $ in Kristen Stewart's pocket, she would be more than compelled by friendship to support him every step of the way. Rob is a stunningly fabulous actor who seems backed into a corner not knowing which way to turn. God bless him. I wish him well. I would like to think that he'll be around to entertain us for years to come. Yet he seems so fragile that I fear he'll either break or bolt to maintain a sane life.

About a day and a half till the rob pattinson is gay rumors start.
Rob made a good choice, because he and Ricky Gervais share similar senses of humor, i.e. British. In his early interviews for Twilight, he was clear that Kristen was his 'crush' in the acting world. Now that he isn't talking about their relationship at all(no more 'we're just friends); he sometimes answers questions about which woman he prefers with either a silly answer, or an off-the-wall choice, like Ricky Gervais.
I wouldn't be totally shocked if he is gay. However, a while back, he admitted to a crush on Kristen, and had a habit of asking girls, including Kristen, to marry him. I think we can all see why he doesn't do this anymore!
it's obvious from some of the comments that some people just dn't get our British sense of humour...
i can understand why he wouldn't seriously name someone as it would then cause the paps to go after them! by naming ricky gervais he protects his crush and his privacy, fair play!
Some people needs to get their stick off their ass. Of course Rob was joking, anyone who knows (or sees and hears a little beyond on his interviews) will notice that he always answers with a joke when he wants to protect himself from more media circus.
Reporters are trying really hard to get him to confess who he has his eye on (specially if it's a celebrity)...and they're doing it by throwing ANY type of questions out there to see if he'll spill..(just anything..doesn't matter what but just give them something to bug MORE about) Rob knows this (he's smart man, people should know this by now) so he'll dodge those question any way he can...in this case he did it with a joke (which I love)
So to those calling him "gay" or "uptight" or whatever needs to CHILL...seriously, relax and enjoy Rob's awesomeness and talent...who knows? It might just bring a smile to your face and help you slide off any of that bitterness that seems to be proyecting so much to the world.
Why should he have to reveal anything THAT personal about himself?? It's his own personal business and if he doesn't want to talk about it, why force the issue and make up rumours about
his sexual preference, when the media can't get their way?? if i was him I would be damn irritated with all the lies spread around, but he seems to deal with it in a mature way, which i greatly admire.......
