"Forget the Rat Pack and the Brat Pack," says PopStar, "there is a new pack in town, turning heads whereever they go . . . The Brit Pack."
Just who, says this source, is in the Brit Pack? Why, Robert Pattinson and his wily crew of course. Our favorite musicians such as Bobby Long, Marcus Foster, and Sam Bradley are on the list, as well as Tom Sturridge, who is also a long-time actor friend of Rob’s.
Robert Pattinson, whose film resume (ahem, Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon included) has brought him to a stardom he could not have anticipated, is a major face in the Brit Pack. Rob, who was born in London, met his fellow Brit-Packers long ago.
Phil Taylor, who introduced Rob and Marcus Foster to Bobby Long, recounted for us the story of their grouping.
Says Phil, Marcus and Rob were, to him, a couple of excellent artists who’d crossed his stage in London’s Up All Night Music, an open mic night that Phil built from the ground up with his bare, ambitious hands. Up All Night, says Phil, had become (and still is) the go-to place for aspiring musicians who are looking for a shot from a real big-wig in the music business. When Bobby Long came to the stage, Phil Taylor was so impressed with his captivating and complete performance, that he knew Bobby Long needed to meet Marcus and Rob. They’ve been close friends and confidantes ever since.
Said Marcus Foster, he, Rob and Sam Bradley met when they all went to school together long ago. Tom Sturridge, actor in such projects as Being Julia, Vanity Fair (in which Rob starred as well), and Like Minds, met Rob through his siblings, who went to school with Rob as well.
As Sam Bradley put it, “we’re all very close.” Sam, who performs in Vancouver Island tonight, and who will celebrate the release of his album (we hope) in the very near future, even said that the friendship he had with Marcus Foster was the animus behind his decision to pursue a musical career. Said Sam, “I always love listening to him and watching him.”
The same, it seems is true of all of the so-called Brit Pack. The news on these five is constantly swirling with photos, reports, and talk of them going to one another’s shows and co-authoring pieces together.
In a nutshell: these five are all great friends, and they’re all from the United Kingdom. Hence, the clever nickname of today, The Brit Pack.
In the interest of being different, I’d dare to say that perhaps Phil Taylor, who helped to bring the crew together as it is, might deserve to be included in that list. A six-pack, perhaps.
One thing is for sure, these Brits sure make a good team, or, if you agree with the new terminology, "pack!"
Personally I prefer Rob Pattinson's voice. They are all good singers but Pattinson has more soul in his voice. He is a little more unusual. The other singers remind me of a million others. But if they help create good songs for Pattinson then its all good. I hope they all do well out of the connection.
To be honest when I first heard "Let Me Sign" I absolutely loved it and the singers voice literally gave me chills...I had no idea until I later looked it up that it was Pattinson. It just didnt really sound like him to me, but that is amazing, I am highly impressed with his talent;)
I've been calling them the London Brat Pack for months lol...but I was thinking more along the lines of a blending of the friends from St. Elmos' fire such as Rob Lowe, Emilo Estevez and such with the original Rat Pack of Sinatra and friends. :-P
I don't like Rob's singing, you can't understand a word he says. I think Jackson and his band, Monkey something, should have a song on the soundtrack. That would be awesome. Their hard core alternative though, some conservatives may not like it.
It would be wonderful to hear Robert sing on New Moon and Jackson too. New Moon reminds me of the songs on the album "Closer", Josh Groban. Songs along that line, maybe Claire de Lune, or sad ballad songs.
The "Brit Pack" already exists. It was a name given to a group of British actors who 'conquered hollywood' in the late 80s and includes Gary Oldman, Tim Roth, Daniel Day-Lewis, Rupert Everett, Colin Firth, Spencer Leigh etc etc....I can tell you which group I prefer. ;)

Ummm excuse me where in this Brit pak article is Eddie redmayne????? He is the best.
I hope they've written songs for Rob to sing on New Moon. His singing suited Twilight so well.
Instead of a six-some, wouldn't it be a six-pack? :-)
I totally agree with Wendy
I love Rob's voice but can take or leave the others.

Love 'em all... all are excellent. Keep it comin, gentlemen!
There's Something about the Brits (not only those four)
Each and every one of them are equally talented in their own ways. I would love for them to all release an album ASAP though.
