You might know Brett Ratner as the director of the Rush Hour series, The Family Man, Red Dragon, and X-Men: The Last Stand. Of his current projects, Youngblood is one that Ratner has a lot of confidence in.
Said he in a May interview with MTV, "When Youngblood goes live, the whole wor[l]d watches." According to MTV,
"Youngblood" chronicled the adventures of a government-sanctioned team of superheroes who operated in the public eye while fighting super-powered threats and dealing with superhero-sized drama.
Of that team, according to MTV, the focus of the film will be upon two characters, "Shaft and Chapel, the bow-wielding marksman and gun-toting former soldier who lead the team." These characters have a distaste for one another that must yield to collaboration.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and Remember Me star Robert Pattinson, MTV reports, is on Ratner's short list for potential actors.
According to a recent article by MTV, Ratner stated that "He just feels like he belongs in that world. I don't only see him as a vampire, he's a really good actor."
MTV postulates, for reasons which the article outlines, that the character Shaft is the one that Ratner has his eye on Pattinson for.

i like the part where he says "i don't only see him as a vampire, he's a good actor" cause it's tru Rob can act, just many other people see him as Edward and nothing else
Oh yes please - I would love to see Rob in anything non-twilight. He is so much better in other movies where he can create the character rather than the stifled role of edward
Interesting. I hope Rob gets to do it if he wants to. I'm sure it's hard trying to schedule anything right now, much less a big action blockbuster.
One roll that apparently would have been good for him based on that photo you used Amanda? The Wolfman. lol - he looks so scruffy and backwoods crazy in that pic.
I want Rob to do roles that get him a male fanbase so I'm all for it. I;ll go see it anyway. The role seems perfect for him.
mmm am slightly concerned. This would not necessarily be the best move for Rob, as it is quite typecasting in the fantasy roles... I think after the saga, Rob needs to choose his roles carefully.
Pattinson's very versatile. he has the voice, looks, build and charisma to play a huge variety of roles. he fits any time period and genre.
Id prefer Dune to be honest but this role also seems quite good.
Rob's already got some worthy work lined up like Bel Ami so yes this fantasy role wouls be a nice change and get him the hell away from Edward Cullen.
Rob as some kick ass archer and hot shot. Yes please. Sign me up.
This sounds great! Just make Breaking Dawn first please, and then this. Rob would be fantastic!
what ever movie mr. pattinson picks and wants to do would it be up to him after all he dose for his fands i think the fans should not pick on him on how he looks or smells and this how the fans think of him when i was 11 when in school still i want to lond and london males or london people do not smells bad and i wish fands would trea him batter and give him some cradit he dose all he can for the fands and doing filmes not just to get awards or be a big time star he dose this because it was born in him i fell sorry for him being pick on like this and if no one likes him just go watch another movie or start and leave him and the cast alone if you can not repact him or the other stars in this movie new moon alone.
