'New Moon': The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion' now available for pre-order

Thanks to the headsup from NewMoonMovie.org, we now know that The Twilight Saga: New Moon's illustrated movie companion book is available for pre-order online here.

Costing a modest $12.91, the book will be released on October 6, 2009, according to the sales information (right in time to get thoroughly familiar with it before the November 20th release of The Twilight Saga: New Moon).

Meanwhile, Stephenie Meyer's The Twilight Saga: Official Guide still has no official release date announced - but is still available for pre-order here.

New Moon: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion is written by Mark Cotta Vaz, the same author of Twilight: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion. It will be about 144 pages, and will be written in English (released by Hatchett Books).

So, tell us, did you get the first one? If so, will you be purchasing this? Comment below and let us know!

I'll buy it. I hope Chris Weiz makes a Director's Notebook like Catherine Hardwicke did. I really enjoy looking through that. I didn't buy the Twilight companion, but may get this one. I doubt it will sell out in Leavenworth, Kansas... so I'll wait.

I think it's funny how film adaptations of novel sequels with completely different titles from the originals always wind up slipping the original movie title in there (i.e., "The Lost World" becomes "The Lost World: Jurassic Park"). Is the lowest common denominator really that dimwitted that they can't tell it's a sequel, or do the patronizing studios just think they are?

I ask because "New Moon" is a perfect title on its own, and it's too bad they have to sully it by tacking on the cheesy "

"Twilight Saga" just to ram the point home. Gives it the air of a cheapo franchise, rather than a work of literature.

Didn't buy the first one, I may though, just to see what its like and then decide. I am thrilled at the job Chris is doing with New Moon, makes me sorta sad he will not be directing Eclipse.. I think he "gets" Twilight! Maybe he will do Breaking Dawn!?
