In addition to The Damned United and The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Michael Sheen also has another exciting picture coming soon to theaters across the world - namely, Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland.
Alongside mega-heavy castmember elite group Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway, Sheen will portray the White Rabbit in the film.
The film is based off of Lewis Carroll's epic masterpiece book Alice's Adventures In Wonderland.
In a recent interview with Film Shaft, Sheen discussed the role, saying that "The White Rabbit is such an iconic character that I didn’t feel like I should break the mould too much, so I just sort of went with it." Long-term fans of the Alice series, to be honest, are probably pretty thrilled with that news. The chaos imbued into the world of Wonderland by Sheen's character are also characteristics that he seems to comprehend pretty well.
Continued Sheen, "The story had a huge impact on me as a child and it’s stayed with me ever since, so to be part of Tim Burton’s version is just like a dream come true."
Alice In Wonderland will release on March 5, 2010 in the United States, and its first theatrical trailer has already received a great deal of attention and praise - so much so, in fact, that noone was surprised by the film-inspired clothing and jewelry line that was displayed at a recent party.
