'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' - Summit Ent.
Kirsten Prout, "Lucy" in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, portrays one of the smaller vampire roles in the Twilight series, but as adage suggests, "there are no small roles."
The actress recently did an interview with IESB.net where she discussed her involvement with the series - particularly how she became a part of it.
In the interview, Prout revealed that she originally auditioned for the part of "Bree" (which was later given to Jodelle Ferland), but that she was called back for the role of "Lucy" after showing the casting crew what she had going for her.
"I can tell you that I've never felt that level of nervousness in an audition room, in my whole career. I had read the books, but it hadn't really sunk in what a huge phenomenon Twilight was. I went into it and it was an important audition, but I wasn't really nervous," she said.
In addition to her casting story, Prout also revealed the welcome that she received from on-screen co-star Jackson Rathbone.
"We actually got along really well. We met in the make-up trailer, during the make-up testing, before filming even started," she explained.
The interviewer also asked Prout whether becoming a fang-less vampire was "disappointing" to her at all, and Prout keenly replied, "When someone tells you you're going to be a vampire in Twilight, the reaction is not disappointment."
