Justin Chon talks 'Eclipse,' David Slade tweets, and Edi Gathegi makes the cover of Fangoria

A couple of updates from The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have been making waves today.

Firstly, actor Justin Chon (who portrays, Eric Yorkie, a "human" in the Twilight series) had an interview with E! Online's Marc Malkin, where he talked about Eclipse and director David Slade. According to that interview, Chon expects that the entire film will tend toward a darker side - an opinion with which his co-stars Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene have also agreed - because of the change in "mood" and process during this time around in filming.

David Slade, on the other hand, has been keeping his tweets a bit light and frothy over the past few months, and last night's was no exception.

"Wolves wolves wolves," Slade said. "The schedule has been a bit furry of recent. Shooting vampires very soon," he concluded. Slade had previously tweeted that "the rain dumped on us but we had to keep shooting until 5am. Then of course the rain drifted away." Gil Birmingham, who portrays Billy Black (not a wolf, per se, but certainly a leadership figure in the La Push gang and Jacob Black's father), previously tweeted that he "Worked until 4 am. Good shoot. David Slade has a great vision for the film. Whole puppy pack here and new ladies Tinsel and Julia. Still rainy...getting ready for another night shoot. Hope it doesn't rain." Guess that didn't work out for him! He later tweeted that it was "Another long night. Got back to the hotel at 7 am after starting the shoot at 5 pm the day before. Rained all night."

Though Edi Gathegi, who portrays Laurent in Twilight and New Moon, will not be issuing any Eclipse news, he's still making headlines - the front page, actually. According to Fangoria, Gathegi is featured on the upcoming cover of the newest edition of the magazine, #288, that hits stores on October 15th. Fangoria promises exclusive interviews with cast members from The Twilight Saga: New Moon as well as never-before-seen photographs of the film.
