Jamie Campbell Bower, portrayer of Caius The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Grindelwald in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part II, has more in common with Robert Pattinson than just Twilight and Harry Potter.
Obviously, they are co-stars in the Twilight series. Both portraying vampires (albeit very different vampires), the two will be seen together this winter in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Also, they were both involved in the Harry Potter franchise (Pattinson with Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire and Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix).
Final point of obviousness: they're both from London and they're both actors.
Yet, there is more to it than just that.
Now, it seems, the connection is deepened by a suggestion that Bower might be the world's next heart-throb.
Says the London Paper,
Campbell-Bower, who went to posh Bedales school and was a member of the National Youth Music Theatre, has already been seized upon by US gossip blogger Perez Hilton as the hottest new London export.
He has yet to come to mainstream attention, though he has appeared in Sweeney Todd opposite Johnny Depp and in Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla.
And he doesn't just act - he's also frontman in his own band, The Darling Buds (no, not the 80s Welsh indie outfit) and was formerly signed to Select Model Management.
Campbell-Bower's first role was playing the French mouse in a production of Alice in Wonderland. "I think I always sort of had the calling,” he says. "That sounds so f**king generic and cheesy, but it’s true! I always had the idea that I wanted to perform. I love being the centre of attention - and I always love talking about myself.”
Bower is adorable, and he is certainly building a strong foundation of films to enjoy. Much like Robert Pattinson, his work in Twilight and Harry Potter will only strengthen his star status, but will it make him a heart-throb? We shall see ... In the meantime, what do you think? Jamie's cute in a female kind of way no doubt but he can't do a Rob. he has emerged at a very wrong time! this is a Robert P. era, There is no looking left or right for Rob has the whole package movie goers have been seeking for a long time now. he doesn't disappoint on or off screen, infact watching Rob off screen is a film on its on - am sure all his fans know what i mean - thats not very easy to compete with. Jamie can compete with Jonas Bros,categorically thats where he belongs - Rob is already way ahead.

Jamie is cute, and will probably be a hit with tweens. I liked Jamie in Sweeny Todd. He seems a bit full of himself, though. I don't think he needs to compete with Rob. They are very different people; Rob just happens to be my favorite.
I think he will grow into one :)

I'm sure Rob would be happy to see other male actors from the Twilight series absorb some of the screaming fans...probably could use a break.
Just because Perez Hilton is attracted to him doesn't mean he's going to be the "hottest new British import". Look, he's cute in a girly way but he looks VERY young, and like someone said earlier--he's FULL OF HIMSELF--which means he's NOT like Rob AT ALL. Rob isn't looking to be the center of attention like Jamie is, doesn't want the spotlight (which makes him MUCH more attractive, BTW). He just gets it because he's drop-dead gorgeous, talented, charming, and a gentleman no matter how outrageous everyone else acts around him. Rob will ALWAYS be the #1 star power of Twilight, no matter what other male they put in. He's genuine and real and honest.

i just think rob it's the hot guy with a lot of luck.... everybody is obessesed about him..but not as him as an actor and i think jamie is very young and cute and a better actor, so, no doubt he'll be very famous too.
Rob is definitely not the be all and end all, kids. There are many much much greater than him, who let's not forget, is known because of Twilight; he was going to quit the acting scene had Catherine not cast him. People need to remember this when they talk about Rob as though he's the best thing Hollywood has ever seen.
And let's be honest, anyone could have landed the Edward role and now be receiving the same insane attention.

Theres no competition - Jamie can ACT - he can sing WELL and hes a nice, FRIENDLY guy. Hes not a moody, arrogant individual who, without the lucky break of Twilight would be back scrounging for work cos he sure didnt show much talent for acting in Harry Potter (wooden), Little Ashes (just embarassing) or The Bad Mothers Handbook (awkward and NOT in a good way). And where does Rob get off being so aloof? If it wasnt for the fans who blindly follow him he wouldnt have his current lifestyle.
I think he needs to be worried about Jamie, who is a normal human being and amusing guy, as well as having talent. As for looking GAY - really now?!!!! Look again...And hes quite a chameleon too, borne out by the varied roles he has already played (Check out Jack in Rocknrolla as well as those mentioned above-hell of an impact for one scene!)
They are both amazing in their own individual ways and they ar both very lucky to have been in the right place at the right time. Everyone is of course allowed to haev their own opinion but I think Rob is better. He is an amazingly talented actor, although his work is nt for everyone, and he has an amazing singing voice. It also helps that he is very good looking.
Oh come on!...grisl...i cane say only that jamie is more a normal gut and a better actor...really...he can sing amazingly...acting very well and it's looking good.. believe if rob wwouldn't be in twilight nobody would known him...that's the thruth....i thinks he acts...but nothing more... so..let's see what happens after twilight
@ kirsty you are very wrong about Rob -stardom as just luck. You probably have not been round long enough to know that this sort of adulation or mass female following has not been round for a long time - in holywood. It was just the film that brought him forth, any other actor would have produced a teen movie out of Twilight. but Rob made it watchable even for adults. And you will not see this sort of thing in a long time.... it happens once in a while that someone or a group of people has that magic to ignite such frenzy believe me - because in an over view, Rob is not a extreme looker neither is he the best actor ever to graze planet earth - but he has the Connect magic ....now am totally out of topic - what was the question again? Jamie cannot replace Rob, when that happens there will be no time for comparisons like this. You either have the X-Factor or you don't. Whoever will replace Rob is not even known right now until the day!
