Jackson Rathbone and the 100 Monkeys will be teaming up this April to put on a tribute concert for Spencer Bell, their lost friend and fellow musician.
In addition to memorializing Spencer Bell, the concert will benefit the Spencer Bell Legacy and help to raise awareness for adrenal cancer.
100 Monkeys will be joined by Evro, The Kissing Club, The Stevedores, Drew and the Medicinal Pen, and Tin Tin Can, and the concert will take place on April 24th, 2010 in Dallas, Texas.
For those interested in attending this performance, there will also be a few contests and giveaways associated with the event. For starters, there is a raffle with prizes such as a guitar signed by Bowling for Soup, autographed pictures from Simple Plan, a special designed t-shirt by Kelly Rathbone (Jackson Rathbone's sister), and autographed portraits of the bands.
Tickets for the concert will begin to go on sale on January 15th, 2010, and more information about the event and potential prizes (including an online auction for a chance to meet and greet, interview, or have dinner with the bands) is available here.

I was at their San Diego concert last night. It was day 3 of their 100 city tour. Everyone MUST go!!! The venues are inexpensive (ours was $13 prepaid) and small (about 200 people) so you're pretty much going to get to stand 20 feet from Jackson (while he's on stage) for at least an hour. The music is GREAT and it's not all that difficult to find them afterwards for autographs (depdending on venue I suppose). I bought their new CD (only $10) and got everyone in the band to sign it and I got pictures with everyone. I've got lots of pictures on my PhotoBucket account (and more will be added once my friend sends more pictures from her camera):

6 bands will be at the Spencer Bell Legacy concert. And each of the bands should have merchandise for sale. So if you go and find you like any of the bands music, head to the merch table. Ben Johnson will be doing double duty again as he is in both 100Monkeys and the Stevedores (the band Spencer Bell was in).

And I just found out that a new Spencer Bell CD and a new Spencer Bell Legacy t-shirt will be available at this concert. The CD will also be available at Bamboozle, a music festival held on May 1 and 2 at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in NJ. 100Monkeys will perform there on May 1

100Monkeys will return to Poor David's Pub in Dallas for April 23rd. Doors open at 8, show at 9pm. Tickets are $14. In additon to the auctions, there are items being raffled and you do NOT need to be present to win.
