You've already heard the story that Twilight-related searches (including those for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and castmembers like Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner) made it in the top ten of Google, Yahoo, and AOL searches for the year 2009, and, now, the story is that Twilight-related goodies were in the top of eBay sales as well.
According to USA Today, 523,429 Twilight-related items were purchased through eBay in 2009 (which has yet to end).
Since the Official Twilight store is hosted through Amazon, one has to wonder what the numbers for that site will look like if released.
While Twilight-related purchases did not make number one on the list (instead goods related to the Yankees baseball team made number one with 551,230 related items purchased through eBay in 2009), they did take the number two spot.
Wonder what sold so rampantly on eBay this year? Any guesses?
