First deleted scene from 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' released by Target

'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' DVD - Summit Ent.

Right now, there's a bit of competition being waged - be it healthy or not - between the various The Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD vendors, and Target (who has the 3-disc special edition of the DVD) has released a new deleted scene from New Moon to sample what their DVD will have to offer.

In the scene, the source of Bella (Kristen Stewart)'s motorcycles is revealed. While in the book, Bella happens upon a kid putting the bikes out to the road, in this scene it is Charlie (Billy Burke)'s neighbor who is trashing them . . . with Charlie's vehement approval of his decision.

You will probably recall that in the film, this moment was left out and that Bella simply shows up to La Push with the bikes in the tailgate of her truck.

The scene closes with the beginning of a scene that was included in the film (so, in this sense, it's an extended scene rather than deleted altogether), where Charlie has had it with Bella's depression and says that he thinks she should go home to Jacksonville to be with her mother.

Check it out!

So, what do you think? Should this scene with "Bob" have made it into the film, or do you think it was one that was rightfully cut from the theatrical version of the movie?

HMMMMM that should have totally been in the movie. it would have made more sense for people that never read the books. But the movie was amazing none the less

Yeah it would have made more sense. Esp. with when Billy said "Alright..."

I think it was better without it. The way the movie had it, it was not hard for even someone who has never read the book to figure that she got it out of some sort of scrap heap.

I think that it should have been in the movie because people that has never read the book would have actually known where she got the bikes from, but the movie I think was good even without this certain scene in it.

I honestly don't think it should of been in the film I mean it's a reasonable cut. I wished that the "Wake Up" Scene between Charlie and Bella would of been a bit longer.

I agree it was a reasonable cut. It doesn't do much for the movie, but I would have filmed a scene where Bella just sees the bikes and has an idea, and then cut to the scene where she tows the bikes to Jacobs'.
The scene which I wish they made longer was the one when she wakes up upon returning from Italy

I think it was a good idea to leave it out. Now, those people who have not read the book, see this as the deleted scene they will be intrigued enough to read the book to watch it all play back out in their head! Chris was such a great director and really stayed true to the books, anybody watching the movie who has read the books will love him for what he's done!

OK...so we know everybody and their brother will release their own 'version' for new moon release on dvd... but if you buy the bluray will you still get the extras??? Won't iTunes eventually sell all the extended clips?

I wish the scene of her and edward after italy was longer. that is my fav bit from all the books, and had some of the BEST quotes they should have used :(

I wish they had also included the flight home :(

I agree with them for leaving that part out. It didn't fit with the book by any means. Just my opinion... Thanks for sharing!

I think it was a good idea to take this out of the movie. As someone who has read the books and watched New Moon a thousand times, in the movie she told Jake she saved them from the junk yard, so there's no need for this in there. (Even though in the book she did get them for someone that was just giving them away) I wish they would have showed more of the trip home from Italy of Edward and Bella talking on the plane and Bella not wanting to go to sleep b/c she didn't know if Edward would be there in the morning.
