Novel Journeys will be hosting a The Twilight Saga: New Moon filming location tour this October, taking patrons through various locations where actors Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, Daniel Cudmore, Charlie Bewley, and Dakota Fanning and director Chris Weitz were busy filming the Italy sequences.
According to their recent press release, the two organizers, Lisa Dalia Wilkins and Vanessa Negroni Seiger, "flew to the area in May 2009 and were extras" in the movie.
The tour lasts for six days (October 10 to October 15), and will start in Tuscany, guided by Wilkins and Seiger.
Portions of the tour include "[r]etrac[ing] Bella's journey through mystical Volterra as she races to save Edward from . . . imminent death," "[w]ine tasting in the Volturi's 'underground lair,'" and "[g]uided tours of Montalcino, Monte Oliveto, and Siena."
More details and reservation information can be found at their website.

i heard somewhere that if your an extra on a movie you can't talk to the stars or you will get kicked off the set, is that true?
we could say hi to the stars when they got on set, but they were so focused already, getting final hair/makeup done, talking to the director and other crew members that you didn't really get a chance to chat them up..... and then when the takes were over, they'd get whisked away, but you still got to say goodbye and "good job". but i think it's just so exciting to be on the set and see them work, and you don't want to break their concentration or bother them really.
it was interesting to be an extra in the movie...Chris Weitz is not only a talented director he has compassion for others...one morning while filming, a helper on the set dropped a box with papers in it and they fell all over the cobblestone street, Chris Weitz did not get upset or angry he just smiled, bent down and helped the guy pick the stuff up then told him not to worry about it.
Got something to say?
