A new fan-made poster of Jane in The Twilight Saga: New Moon (made by Jangsara) really gives us an idea of how Dakota Fanning might look when portraying the part.
It shows Fanning as a cloaked, smirk-donning young lady who simply seems up to no good.
While it's not an official image or any real clue as to how Fanning will be costumed for the movie, it certainly paints a picture of what the possibilities for her portrayal include, doesn't it?
Particularly present in the image is a representation of the way that Dakota Fanning's face could easily go from sweet and innocent to maniacal and vicious - perfect for the character which she's slated to play in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, no?

I think it looks amazing. I thought she would make a good Jane but picturing her like this makes her seem more perfect for the part.

There are New Moon trailers on youtube. I know some of them are fanmade, but one actually looks good. Are they all fanmade?
OMFG! That's AMAZING Dakota did a AWESOME job on PUSH so I can just picture how good New Moon will be. I literally have a calender to count down the days til the movie comes out! BTW the poster is AWESOME

wow.... this poster is awesome! if she looks good in this, i can't imagine what she'll look like when shes actually in character and all of the details from the book are brought to life through her. shes gonna be awesome! and major kudos to the maker of this poster by the way!!!
i think it looks o.k. i guess, but u think dakota needs to look more like herself. her blonde hair should stay pretty much the same and i think the only thing they should change of how she looks normally is to be more pale, her eye color, and looking a tad more serious, or wise maybe, than usual for her.
Looks good to me to! I always thought of Jane as having a child like angelic face and even looking sweet. But, with her little sweet looks underlies the diabolic powers she has and how in an instant she can bring you down to your knees in excruciating pain!

ok i dont think Dakota will make a good jane. I didnt picture Jane looking anywhere close to the way Dakota looks. I think whoever plays Jane should look the part and i dont think Dakota looks that way. Sorry but i dont think Dakota should be Jane.
All right. Let's start out with saying that all these people saying "Dakota is EXACTLY like Jane is supposed to be!" really need to go and reread New Moon so that they can see that Jane looks nothing like Dakota. Jane is short, twelve years old, has /short brown hair/ and an angelic face that is the only thing keeping her from being mistaken for a boy. Really, I love the girl, she's a great actress, but unless she loses a few inches on her height and cuts/dyes her hair, I will never accept her as Jane.
Sorry guys... at any other point, I would say this is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.
But since I was one of those who wanted to get the part of Jane (but never got to audition because of their parents T_T), then... -sigh- I can't. And in my eyes, being 12, shoulder length haired, short, heart-shaped faced, and dark brown haired... I can't ever accept Dakota Fanning as Jane. Sorry.
I think this is a great poster but I don't know why you are all making such a fuss over Jane! I think Dakota will make a good Jane but I'm not sure why you are all saying she is 12 and has brown hair. She is nearly 15 and has blonde hair. She really doesn't have that big a part anyway. I'm more worried about who they will cast as Aro and the rest of the Volturi.
Seriously, why are people making a fuss over this? I don't want Dakota to have the part, but I don't go raiding forums saying how much I hate her. We need to get over this, and face that facts that she is now Jane. *shudders at thought*
i think this poster is reeeeaaally awesome! i love dakota! she is an awesome actress, i agree that she needs to have short dark hair!i hope this makes all the actors in the movie step up their game since they'll be working with such a talented young actress.
i think dakota fanning is a great girl for the part of jane. and even though she has been on disney channel she is a great person who can look older and younger but yet she can still feel the shoes of jane.
I haven't had the chance to finishing the books, but I think Dakota Fanning is great talent. She will undoubtedly do a great job in any part.

and for the people that are so concerned about jane/dakota,calm down. its a movie, an interpritation of the book...it won't be perfect, i mean look at the movie for twilight.if you hate the casting so much that you are whinning about it on blogs then maybe you shouldn't go see the movie...just a thought. and newsflash: your opinion on who you would want to be in the movie doesn't really matter if the role has already been cast. for the complainers, whining isn't going to make people agree with you, its only going to annoy them. its a its a book being made into a movie-its supposed to be there for your entertainment...you shouldn't judge it till you see it...so untill that time simmer down.

Dakota is an awesome actor, and i am glad that she is going to play jane in new moon. but why is she wearing that dress on the poster? just because she is a vampire doesn't mean her clothes should be all doom and gloom. underneath their clothes they are just regular people. have you ever seen an ordinary person walking around in a dress like that? other than the dress, the poster looks awesome and Dakota Fanning definetly fits the part.

okay. first off i have to say that people who are saying that they didn't picture jane this way should come to terms with the fact that jane is a fictional character and you all imagined her while reading. no one is going to look exactly like what you pictured. and the small things such as the color of her hair and how long it is can be changed. we don't know if the new moon crew are going to change her hair or not. nikki reed(rosalie hale) really has brown hair but for the movie they died it blonde. taylor lautner(jacob black) really has short hair as well as cam gigandet(james) but for the movie they gave them long hair. and jane isn't twelve years old in the book. it says that she is as lank as a twelve year old boy. everyone has differen oppinions on what makes a person pretty or have an "angelic face". no one is pretty to everyone. and who do you want to play jane? new moon is filming right now. they dont have time to look for the person that fits all of your expectations. at least they put her in the story at all.
i think this is an awesome fan made poster, who ever made this props to them. Dakota Fanning will be a great jane, whether or not she will play a significant part people will still notice her. She also plays a significant part in the fourth book.
