Charlie Bewley in 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' - Summit Ent.
Of course, you're all well versed on the fact that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse promises to be a darker picture than its predecessors, Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Charlie Bewley, who portrays "Demetri" in the saga, seems to think it'll be more "real" in the sense that "Eclipse has this different mood about it, it’s dark and vicious. You get to see the brutal nature of vampires and what they are really capable of, which is something we haven’t really seen in the first two movies." Or at least that's what he told OK! Magazine.
Of course, all that's been seen - officially - of Eclipse thus far is a still-frame image of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the meadow, and the trailer's release is to come at an indeterminate time, so all we have to rely on, for now, is words like those of Bewley.
It is interesting, then, to hear him say that the vampires in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be portrayed as the dangerous creature that mainstream lore presents them as. Wonder if this will bring more guys into the saga?
Of course, these statements are qualified by David Slade's promise that there is a "balance" in the film. So, if there can and will be both (the predatory/vicious vampires as well as a soft and tempered love story), isn't that a good thing?

I am definitely looking forward to seeing Eclipse (my favorite book of the saga)! It is my favorite because there's the tension between Edward/Bella/Jacob as well as the tension that continues to develop between the Cullens and the newborns.
I love the background stories of Jasper and Rosalie. I'm glad David is including them. I would have liked to have seen Alice's and Carlise's stories. Esme and Emmett don't have to much.
I love the devotion that Edward shows towards Bella.
Mostly I love the interaction between Edward and Jacob whether territorial or comic.
I hope it's all there.
Sounds like David Slade knows how to bring the darkness into Eclipse. I'm also glad that David Slade is including the Background stories of Jasper and Rosalie. I also hope their including the 'Beautiful vampire' story where the Old woman stabs herself to save the wolves. I think Eclipse might get more guys into the series.
Ditto on what Michelle stated. It's my favorite book. I love Jacob's boldness in going after Bella. It is hilarious. I love Edward's jealousy which makes for good comic relief. I cannot wait to see when Jacob steals his kiss and Edward's reaction; the tent scene; the proposal and Bella attempting to seduce Edward to no avail. This book has so many great story-lines as well with Jasper and Rosalie, the Quileutes and not to mention the newborns and Victoria.
The best thing about this movie...we will get to see it on the IMAX screen. I cannot wait!
tucheer83- If one of the parts from Eclipse you are referring to is when Bella goes to sleep on the couch and wakes up in the bed instead when Edward returns, I don't think we are going to get to see it. Melissa Rosenberg skirted the answer and said that she had to condense scenes because of the size of the book and the transferring of text to a visual media presentation doesn't always and shouldn't allow for word to word translation. Melissa has done a good job so far doing the screenplays so far IMHO. I'd like to see the directors pull a little more emotion out of Bella. Even though in the book she is quiet- she should have been gasping for air and throwing up water after Jacob saved her. But, I also think Edward should have just about "eaten" her with a passionate kiss when she first showed up. However, I was not the director and they didn't ask my opinion! lol ;)
i just love the whole seriuos. i love every book of the whole saga especially breaking dawn because it puts all the fuzzy puzzle pieces into place. i think that all the characters in the movies did and doing a phenomenal job so is the whole crew and the director. but we all hae to say a special thanks to the person who created the twilight world, stephenie meyers. all i have to say is that i am glad she had that dream about a vampire boy and a human girl in the meadow. i love this whole thing because we finally get to see the books come alive in front of our faces. by the way i am both team jacob and team edward!
I enjoyed both movies so far and am looking forward to Eclipse. I find myself going over some parts in the book Eclipse as I read it early last year. Some of those parts I can't wait to see placed in the film- they will be darker and more erotic probably. Great article!
i wont to see the part were jacob kiss bella and bella calls edward and they get in this argument and edward freaks out that was one of the best parts of the book only second to the tent
