'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' - Summit Ent.
Adding to the intense barometric gauge of which The Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD fans will enjoy the most is the latest from Borders.
According to a recent Twitter update from the company, it is confirmed that their version of the New Moon DVD will contain over twenty-five minutes of extended scenes.
Borders had previously listed their New Moon DVD contents as follows:
Exclusive packaging that compliments our existing Borders Exclusive Twilight packaging. Exclusive medallion necklace gold side with wolf-pack tattoo, silver side is the Cullen crest on a silver chain. Includes previously unreleased EXTENDED SCENES; INTERVIEWS with cast members Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, The Cullen Family, The Wolf Pack, The Volturi and Director Chris Weitz; unrivaled RED CARPET FOOTAGE from the movie premiere; front row seats to The Twilight Saga: New Moon WEBCAST.
Borders had also announced that some of their stores would be hosting midnight The Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD release parties.

Ok.. I don't get it. How can one place sell one DVD and another sell a different? Why wouldn't all New Moon movies have the extra footage? So if I buy the DVD at Walmart I wont get the footage? I would have to drive to a Borders and get the DVD there just to see the 25 minutes of deleted scenes? I already pre-ordered my movie in iTunes.. I do plan on buying it on BlueRay.. Is Borders just adding an addiitonal DVD to the New Moon one with the footage? I just don't get it......
not sure, but by "Extended Scenes", they could be talking about Extras on the DVD..not necessarily extended scenes within the movie??
Vixen_Vamp, Of course all of the DVDs will have the standard version of the movie, but each company that has it will have its own "exclusive" content added to that...Borders has the 25 minutes of extended scenes, Walmart has the Eclipse footage, Target has a 3rd disc with who knows what, etc. etc. In order to get that exclusive content, you obviously have to buy each particular edition...It's basically another way for companies to get you to buy Their edition instead of someone else's.
I'm thankful to see that Wal-Mart isn't the only store with a "special" DVD, but I think I'll be content with the regular release. Of course it's always fun to see what didn't make the cut, but most often, those scenes were left out for a reason. Though I wouldn't complain about having more shirtless Taylor Lautner on screen.
Totally agree, it should be one version from summit only. I have pre ordered my copy through Play but have no idea what will be on it!
Hmmm...I was going to go with the Walmart/Eclipse footage version, but I'll see that movie eventually so maybe now I'll go with the 25 mins of extended scenes at Borders. Decisions, decisions! ;)
I was wondering if anyone knows if the Target 3 disc will have a clip of the new eclipse movie? B/c the 2 disc movie from walmart says it has an exclusive clip but I was wondering if the Target dvd did? Thanks
I promise, I think their (Summit) goal is to make each DVD release everywhere unique because they KNOW we will buy all of them! ARGH!

If you are going to buy the Blu-Ray version of New Moon, buy the one from Target as it has 2 disc, instead of the 1 disc at Walmart. Just bought it tonight, can't wait to watch it! Anyone buy the Borders one, is the 25 min extended scenes worth it?
I was one of the first in line at my Wal-Mart. Along with what they called the Exclusive Fan Edition (2 discs) there was another option which included a third disc on the town of Forks. I was close enough in the line to get the free water bottle (like the first 20 people) and its pretty awesome!! They had Edward and Jacob versions.
BUUUUT ... I am a deleted scene freak. And so far there are none. :( I have been going on search engines to find them. So now that I have read that Borders has 25 minutes of deleted scenes, I am wishing we even HAD a Borders. Have any of you seen them all? Is it worth buying another copy?
By the way, Wal-Mart has 4 versions available: BluRay, regular single disc version for $17, and the the Ultimate Fan Edition and the Ultimate Fan Edition with the extra Forks DVD. So they Do have more choices than just the single disc. Thats not to say they are still there though ...
