Following up to the very exciting statements made by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse newcomer Boo Boo Stewart (Seth in the film series), Summit Entertainment has contacted the source of that interview, Access Hollywood, to issue a statement that Stewart's words were "premature."
The statement in question was one made by Stewart yesterday through Access Hollywood, saying that he was signed on for two more Twilight films after Eclipse.
A representative from Summit Entertainment, however, has brought us all back down from the clouds.
According to AH,
Although BooBoo has contract options for additional films after “Eclipse,” there are no guarantees yet that those films will be made.
And while a fourth film in the series is likely since there were four books in the popular Steph[e]nie Meyer’s series, the studio could not confirm “Breaking Dawn” would make it to the big screen just yet.
So, here again, we learn that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is not an officially slated project, yet. On the flip side, we also learn that Stewart's inclinations were not out of nowhere, and that his contract options include two future films beyond Eclipse.
So what does this mean for Twilight fans? Presumably, it means that Breaking Dawn is a serious option. It also means that the actors are being prepared for the possibility that there will be two films.
The speculation as to which two films these might be stands true, still. As discussed in response to Stewart's comments yesterday, one possibility is that, as Stephenie Meyer has herself even said may be necessary, it will be a two-film project. Other possibilities exist, too, of course.
In any case, this situation serves as a reminder that until official word has been given by Summit Entertainment, nothing is certain.

Uh, we know it will. This is rumor control far from it's finest moment. The only real question is wether or not Breaking Dawn will be one/two/three movies. I say two, its more probable and will wrap things up sooner. The first movie (in my opinion) should be wedding/honeymoon/pregnancy with the second one opening up with delivery/transformation/imprinting/gathering witnesses and final Volturi showdow!
Thats just me though!
tin fairness, they kind of have to make two movies of BD. there's too much details that can't be skimmed over.
First BD: Wedding,Honeymoon,Pregnancy,Delivery
Second BD: Bella into Vampire,Imprinting,Witnesses,Volturi,Happy Ever After.. =)
i think it will be two movies
i think the first should end with Rosalie standing in the sunlight or moonlight holding Renesmee and then a close up on Renesmee opening her eyes and then a close up on Jacob's face and the they roll the credits.
the secong one should end with, and this would be an awesome way to tell the fans that Stephenie is finshing Midnight Sun, but it probably won't happen like the way i'm about to describe it. ok so after you know the end it rewinds all the movies from BElla's POV and it goes pitch Black and then you see a GOlden Eye open and it sooms out to Rob's face with that crooked smile and then they roll the credits.
I hope this means that Breaking Dawn will be broken into two parts...at least that's what I'm crossing my fingers for. It makes more sense ~ a two hour film would only sell the finale short.
Breaking Dawn was such a joke. I would be glad if they didn't make it into a movie. All the drama was almost made me want to vomit.
I like the way you think AshleyGreeneFan..lol I like your second part to your ending about Edward with a crooked smile :) I like that alot (Makes you wonder if there will be more to come)....but I think they should also put the sound of a new heart beat (Bella becoming a Vampire) after the screen goes black then roll the credits...GOD I WANT THEM TO MAKE THIS MOVIE SO BAD!!! They have to other wise its like having something danging in front of you and you can't quite grab it, you think you have it but you grab it and its gone :( We will see 3 of the books turned into a movie, so why not go for the 4th :)
Evi seriously-quit hating on stuff....go somewhere else and do that s h * t, no one here wants to hear your bad mood vibes. Hearing what you could sound like makes me want to vomit.
Oh the Bella, new heart beat, is after the screen goes black after you see Renesmee. I forgot to put that part in, in case someone was trying to figure out what in the world I was talking about..oops my bad :) lol
I think that they should so make Breaking Dawn into a movie because it's like my favorite in the series and two it is the serie's, Two film's is a must for B.D. Summit would be crazy not to do B.D. after doing all three book's in the series and I also think that they need to come out and say wheather or not they are going to make the film because they are driving the whole fanbase crazy keeping quite, but we all know that they will probably come out about it after they see how well New Moon is going to do because they can't wait until to see how we Eclipse does because they would have to start filming in early 2010 because they cannot allow the actors to age any. We all know New Moon is going to do better than Twilight did since the fanbase had grown even huger since Twilight was released last November. Just make sure you g se New Moon 10 more time's than you went to see Twilight (if your able) plus Taylor Lautner even mentioned doing that so do TWIFANS!!!!
I'd rather Breaking Dawn didn't become a movie, but it will make lotsa $ for Summit so it is rather likely.
Interesting, but Summit can't do Breaking Dawn without the major actors, and they must film quickly so the vampire actors don't look older. So far, I don't think Kristen or Robert have a contract to do Breaking Dawn.
I wish Summit would just stop stringing us along and just announce if they are going to make Breaking Dawn or not... It's almost as frustrating as waiting to see if Stephenie Meyer will finish Midnight Sun or not.. fans don't like being strung along b/c someone thinks it will keep our interest, We would rather know the truth
well i hope they make it in to two films and i hope they make it becouse if they didnt i think they would end up with a big twilight fan problem and breaking dawn is soo cool i know i plan on going to see newmoon at least more than once
