Bobby Long in for a great few weeks as deluxe 'Twilight' Soundtrack hits number three

Bobby Long, friend to Robert Pattinson and Marcus Foster, and talented co-writer behind hit Twilight soundtrack song "Let Me Sign" is in for a busy few weeks.

Kicking off his tour this Friday, March 27 (starting in London), Bobby Long is soon to begin his whirlwind tour of the United States. Already having established a devoted fanbase, Long will begin his tour of the U.S. in New York on April 13 (see below or Bobby Long's myspace for full list of tour/dates).

In a previous interview I had with Long (see here), he was humble, honest, and sincere, much like the widely adored company that he keeps (the likes of Rob and Marcus, Sam Bradley, and others; see a video of Bobby and Marcus jamming together below).

As Long prepares for his sure-to-be-successful tour through the United States, his number continues to rise as the success of the Twilight soundtrack's deluxe edition continues. Reaching number three on its debut release, the soundtrack features the voice of Robert Pattinson, famed actor (playing Edward Cullen in the Twilight Series) and singer of "Let Me Sign" and "Never Think." "Let Me Sign," co-authored by Long and Foster, ended up on the soundtrack when, in Long's words, he and Foster "wrote it, and [Rob] took it away and recorded it."

Then, according to Catherine Hardwicke, she heard Rob's voice in singing the song and matched it perfectly to a near-end montage of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Rob). Says she, "After we made the whole morphing crazy dream sequence we took that on my laptop back into another little studio in the valley, and then Rob literally sang and just played to the image on the screen."

"And I just watched Rob sing this song, maybe ten different times. Every time it sounded like something almost completely different, because it just came out of him, this kind of raw feeling and in a way, that was my favorite day that I've had in the last two years, just being there in the studio, and watching music just come out of somebody's body," she continued.

In the meantime, Bobby Long is busy preparing for his tour of the United States and sends a warm thank you in advance to his current and future fans, and looks forward to taking the stage in the U.S. Bobby will also entertain many a Twilight fan by performing in August's TwiCon event in Dallas, Texas.
