Ashley Greene ("Alice Cullen") is featured on the cover of Allure Magazine's November issue, and in the interview, one of the subjects that came up was Greene's original audition for the part of 'Bella."
Greene certainly isn't the only Twilight castmate who gave it a go for the part, but she - like everyone else except Kristen Stewart - wasn't chosen for the role. She was lucky enough, however, to be cast in another major role in the Saga.
Speaking to the matter with Allure Greene said, "Everyone asks, ‘Weren’t you jealous?’ No, I think that the casting was so spot-on, especially between Rob and Kristen . . . Dude, I just got lucky on all fronts, because not only am I in Twilight, but the character’s just so damn lovable.”
Indeed! The role of "Alice" was certainly no consolation prize, so it's good to hear that Greene appreciates that, right?
