What kind of week would it be without a ton of news related to Robert Pattinson (and that's not enough counting all of the vapid gossipmongering either)?
Several interesting storylines have popped up over the past few days, so to make it a little easier on those of you looking for the less salacious headlines related to Pattinson, this is for you.
Firstly, several celebrities - coming from across the board of fame - have had a thing or two to say about Pattinson.
Celebuzz caught up with Project Runway star Tim Gunn at an event in California, and Gunn was a mix between complimentary and critical of Pattinson's fashion sense all in the same sentiment. Said he, "Robert Pattinson...It's a look. It's a style. I mean, he could...he could be stunning, but I think it's a little sloppy for my taste."
The Vampire Diaries star Kayla Ewell, on the other hand, had nothing but positive things to say about Pattinson. Said she, according to Ace Showbiz, "He's a free thinker in many ways, very casual and easygoing. He's also really funny, which most people don't know."
Also, True Blood star Stephen Moyer mentioned Pattinson when discussing some of the consequence of vampire-related celebrity, saying ""Robert Pattinson and I are probably the only people where the first thing people say is, 'Bite me.'"
Rob Lowe, who will forever live in infamy for his status as a 1980's (and continuing on to today, of course) heartthrob, discussed his status as an everlasting sex symbol with The Guardian, and he gave proper homage to Pattinson and his status as carrying the torch of sorts.
"I saw People magazine had a list of the top 10 teen idols of all time, and I'm on that list with Elvis, with James Dean, Michael Jackson," he says at one point. "I mean, I have to say I'm proud of that. It's cool." He pauses, as if better to appreciate the monumental nature of this achievement. "And there's some of the new guys on it like Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron… Those guys are carrying on the mantel."
Pattinson himself recently had an interview with Joy Magazine, which the good people at Twilight Poison translated. According to the interview, Pattinson stated that he was working on creating some songs for the next movie - which most fans immediately perceived to mean The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - because of his affection for the world of musicmaking. Here's a portion of the transcript:
And in those moments of intimacy and privacy, is it true hat you like to play the guitar? What do you do when you’re by yourself?
I do play the guitar. I have friends in Vancouver and I get together with them to play the guitar, listen to music. We spend the nights singing and swapping stories. I also do that when I’m at hotels. It’s relaxing. Music is my other passion. I hope I never leave it.
Speaking of passion and music, we know you write songs. What can you share about it?
I’m trying to write some songs for the next movie. I don’t know if it will be possible because of my schedule, but I want to do it. Music is the other side of me, it’s one of the things that complete me and I wouldn’t want to leave it aside for anything in the world. I have the intention of evolving in that aspect. It’s something I want to develope just as much as acting. I want to have a balance between those two things.
One of those friends in Vancouver is, of course, Sam Bradley, who he penned another song with in the spring.
Another translated interview came from ROBsessed and atrevida, where Pattinson talked about music, along with fame. Said he, "I went to a concert in Vancouver of Jackson Rathbone's band and it made me feel upset because I can't do shows. I'm scared that people will record them when I'm not ready yet. I wanted to record an album. I should have done that already, but I don't have time. But I've already written songs for that."
Of course, whether Pattinson will be on the Eclipse soundtrack is the least of some of the latest bits of speculation about his future.
You know Pattinson is hot on the list of Saturday Night Live's hopefuls. A recent college publication, over at Tufts University, highlights why they believe Pattinson would do a better job hosting SNL than did Jennifer's Body star Megan Fox. Says Tufts Daily, "No one’s asking him to be funny ... or even act. All Rob has to do is stand on set and he’ll have girls in the audience swooning and screaming for him."
Finally, Contact Music reports that Pattinson and his former Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire co-star Rupert Grint are both in contention for a role as Prince Harry in a biopic by Peter Kosminsky which is set to begin casting very shortly.
Phew. Pattinson for the win, eh?

Yes, Amanda. Pattinson FTW!...thank you girl..keep it coming!
I don't know Rob at all but from all the interviews it seems that he is really thoughtful, and I love his music. If anyone has watched the commentary of "Twilight" you know that Rob is really funny and I think he would do great at hosting SNL.
Great news summary: better (and faster) than going to the IMDB news page and wading through all the muck. Glad to hear he's keeping up w/ his music, although it will probably be a few years before he feels comfortable singing at gigs again. Would be nice if a venue could guarantee that an audience had no audio/video recording devices, but they'd probably have to use a metal detector to confiscate all cell phones/cameras, etc. Keeping my fingers crossed that he'll have a song on Eclipse soundtrack. Always look forward to your articles!
You do realize there is a robert pattinson examiner, and you are not her, right? You've got all the twilight actors, so back off RP! You have a thousand other things you could be writing about, why are you stepping on someone else's toes here? Find other content.
i love you
amoo demaais

and you know what the part where he could just stand and girls who scream and yell and everything why couldnt they say people instead of girls i mean i love him SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH AND GUESS WHAT? i am a boy, or at least i think so. Anyways i love him and i am not a girl whoever says only girls love him cuz its not true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's very sexyyyyyyyyyyyy Indeeed x
Prince Harry?? RPatz looks nothing like him! Rupert is a better match. Actually, Robert looks more like Prince William.
I say the more news about Rob, the better. I wish someone would clone him, because there's not enough to go around, LOL!
To: Sabrina - please go on Youtube and type: robert pattinson interviews. You'll find tons of TV and radio interviews. You'll be surprised.
To: Amanda
Thank you for the list of summary. This is excellent.
I love Rob, but asking him to do Prince Harry is an insult. He's too good looking to do Prince Harry. *looks over shoulder hoping the Royal Guard isn't coming to lock me in the Tower of London*
But if he feels that portraying Prince Harry is something he would want to do, I would be in the front row watching. :)
Thank you for those... and yes Rob looks more like prince william. Rupert should do the movie. and Rob should do more serious rolls... :)
The "Robert Pattinson Examiner" does not report very often him. I'm glad Amanda still writes about him.
UGH... Chillax jackieb..... Amanda reports on *everything* Twilight... shockingly, that would include Rob Pattinson, now wouldn't it....hummmmmm...
I'm sorry guys but RPatz has changed. When he hooked up with KS it has changed his whole demeanor and not for the good. He seems to me to be very spoiled now. I was hoping for a different kind of ending but here we go with just another bright light that has gone out.
I think he would be great on SNL! Cant wait to see if he does it. :)
Rob is way too good looking to play either William or Harry, and has way too much hair for William who is losing his hair and can't look at people straight in their faces. Plus Harry is completely unsavoury with his nazi shirts, stupid behaviour, not worthy of his rank.
Original scripts only for Rob please, and modern day heroes preferably too, like in Remember Me.
I hope we will hear some more of Rob's music in the future.
Got something to say?
