Back when the Super Bowl started, you were pretty much stuck with whatever was on TV -- and usually there wasn't much besides the Super Bowl.
Today, of course, things are different. There's a lot to choose from -- and stuff that doesn't include TV.
But if you decide to watch TV on DVD today, here are a couple of suggestions of classic shows:
- The Twilight Zone: Football seems like it's out in the twilight zone at times, so why not head out there for real with the classic original series with Rod Serling.
- The Honeymooners: Hearing Jackie Gleason say "TO THE MOON!!!" seems to go well with football craziness.
- Baseball: If you picked up on our suggestion to get old World Series DVD sets, there probably isn't a better day to watch one. The best buy from third party sellers on Amazon.com is the 1977 World Series set with the Dodgers and Yankees. Seven DVDs for under $12 from third party sellers that goes for over $62 from Amazon. Not bad.
- The Adventures of Superman: George Reeves on Super Bowl Sunday? Imagine how he would have gotten through a defensive line with those super powers.

Thank goodness for the Puppybowl on Animal Planet!! Even tho the half time show {with The Kittens} wasn't quite as good as The Twho!
