"Mystery Science Theater 3000, Volume XVI" (Shout Factory)
Break out the eggnog and the holiday cookies. It's time for a holiday celebration. Another "Mystery Science Theater 3000: XVI [Limited Edition]" set is out Dec. 1. And this one has a couple of movies for your holiday enjoyment.
For Thanksgiving, there's "Night of the Blood Beast," which stars Ed Nelson of "Peyton Place" and includes the original introduction when it aired Thanksgiving Day, 1995, plus an added non-holiday introduction when it aired again later. For Christmas, there's "Santa Claus," about a devilish St. Nick. Also featured are "Warrior of the Lost World" and "The Corpse Vanishes," which stars none other than Bela Lugosi. Plus the set has some added special short features and bonuses.
As usual, the movies are awful, but that's part of the fun.
The limited edition version of the set also includes a Tom Servo figurine. (See above)
