Even if you haven’t seen CTV’s promos for tonight’s Castle-- and if you're in Los Angeles, you probably haven't had a chance to-- you’re not really freaked out that Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) are in danger of freezing to death like the guy they found at the end of “Set Up” (Part 1), right? After all, you’re all savvy television viewers, and you know the series is coming back next year, so they can’t kill off their leads! But what you probably are (and most likely should be) worried about is a reprisal in “Countdown” (Part 2) of what happened the first time around, when they were held in the radiation quarantine together but unfortunately interrupted before they could reveal their true feelings post-kiss.
After all, last week it looked like they might have all the time in the world to sit around in that isolation bubble, but tonight, well, with every passing second, they get closer to a potential demise. So the focus must initially be on breaking down that door, but once it shifts from trying to save themselves to trying to save the city, Castle and Beckett realize they have to put aside their differences with Agent Fallon (guest star Adrian Pasdar) and come together to avoid a potential disaster.
Hopefully, though, the crisis will be averted quickly enough that Beckett and Castle can get back to the matter at hand soon. Cases are fun weekly mysteries, but it is the overarching character mystery of when (or perhaps simply whether or not) those two crazy kids will finally give into their attraction.
Castle airs on ABC every Monday night at 10pm.

If you check out creator Andrew Marlowe's comments in TVGuide, it is no longer a matter of if but when and nothing would make me happier. Castle is so much fun. I can't wait to see us get a huge payoff on their incredible chemistry.

I have mixed feelings about them getting together because then it will be about their relationship and making it work. The characters getting together has killed many a show
