Fans of Betty White created a Facebook page on something of a whim to show their support for the eighty-eight year old actress after seeing her chuckle-worthy bit on this winter's SAG Awards. "Make Betty White the next host of Saturday Night Live" naturally spurred rival pages, but no criticism. In fact, the "campaign" saw nothing but support from White's younger generation of fans who took to Twitter and their own personal Facebook pages to promote the cause.

The page actually got around to the right people, as well, proving the power of the internet, and the executives at SNL and NBC extended an offer to White to host the sketch comedy show for the first time during the weekend of Mother's Day. White's agent talked her into it, and so her sure-to-be-legendary appearance will air (live) on May 8th at 11:30 pm.

Now, some very special fans of Megan Mullally are hoping to duplicate such success with their own Facebook page to get the newest star of Party Down on glee

According to Perez Hilton, Mullally is one "fan" of that idea, as well. The accomplished actor is also known for her singing ability and can currently be seen belting it out in I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Commercials. Sure, utilizing her talent (ala other guest star Kristin Chenoweth) is one way to go should she actually get written in, but there's always the option of having her play yet another nemesis to Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester. After all, Mullally stepped in for her on Party Down and the two get to work out some slight on-screen tension because of it during the second season finale, in which Lynch comes back for a very special wedding episode (her own!). Mullally has said that it would be fun to "really go head to head" with Lynch.

But one should note that series star and director Ken Marino would be less than pleased should glee steal another one of his co-stars! When asked how he felt about the show for taking Lynch, Marino dead-panned that "bottom line, I hated it!" When pressed for more, he continued down the same line of thought: "I could only watch a little bit to see Jane, but yeah, it sickened me."

It remains to be seen if this particular fan campaign will take off the way that White's did. But needless to say, Marino might start picketing Fox if it does!
