When LA TV Insider Examiner visited the set of The Secret Circle earlier this month, the kids of the coven were camped out one rainy night at a lakehouse-- a lakehouse that belonged to a familiar, though no longer entirely living, face. While the production crew created thunderous rain and sprinklings of lightning outside the windows for the episode entitled "Beneath," the majority of the circle sat upstairs in the living room, drinking and playing truth or dare. You know, like typical high school kids. But since they are witches-- and since a traitor (Jake aka Chris Zylka) sat among them-- the evening was bound to end anything but typically.
"A lot has been happening to the circle; we’ve been in a lot of danger. So being at Henry’s lake house makes [us] feel like ‘Okay, we’re kind of a away from all of the bad stuff that’s been happening.’ So Diana’s really pleased with this, and we decide to spend the night, and Faye gets the alcohol out from Henry’s liquor cabinet, and it’s just a bunch of us playing truth or dare in Henry’s living room, trying to enjoy ourselves and get our minds off of witchcraft and everything that’s been going wrong," Shelley Hennig grinned when we grilled her about just what was going on up there.
So while Cassie (Britt Robertson) ends up locking lips with Jake, Faye (Phoebe Tonkin)'s jealous side rears its ugly head. But before she can get too hell-bent on separating the towheaded twosome, another kind of trouble comes her way. Let's just say what we witnessed was certainly Tonkin getting put through the ringer with the rain machine that night! And from the looks of the rest of the promotional photos in the slideshow to the left, things don't get much easier when she comes inside to clean up.
The Secret Circle airs on Thursdays at 9pm on The CW. "Beneath" airs on November 3rd 2011.
