Sometimes a show you love and are eagerly anticipating returning with brand new episodes remains a mystery almost up until its return date. Thankfully, though, Castle is not one of those shows!
After last season's emotional rollercoaster of a finale, we were pleasantly surprised to see promos throughout the summer showing Beckett (Stana Katic) back on her feet, and in the precinct, almost immediately in the season premiere. Though we knew she would be okay in the long run, we honestly weren't sure if they would drag out her condition in the first episode or two back-- leaving the guys to step up and take charge of the heavy caseload left behind.
Obviously her getting shot will still have repercutions, but it appears they will most likely affect her emotionally, and personally, when it comes to relationships with her father, her boyfriend, and of course her partner Castle (Nathan Fillion). Although, judging from the look on Beckett's face when she meets her new boss (Penny Johnson Jerald), perhaps she is wishing she got a little more rest and recovery time!
