After strong showings for its first two episode, New Girl has been given a full season order from FOX, with an additional eleven episodes announced today, bringing the series to a twenty-four episode first season.
FOX is touting New Girl as it's highest-rated fall sitcom premiere in the past decade. With only two episodes, it has become a number one series among Adults 18-49 on Tuesdays, as well as this season's number one new series among Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, and Teens.
The next two all-new episodes of New Girl will air at special times. In “Cece Crashes,” airing on a special night on Wednesday, October 12th at 9:30pm, Cece (Hannah Simone) convinces Jess (Zooey Deschanel) that Nick (Jake Johnson) likes her more than just as a roommate. In “Naked,” airing at a special time at 9:30pm on Tuesday, October 18th, Jess accidentally walks in on a naked Nick, sending his self-confidence to an all-time low– just after an attractive co-worker (guest star Lake Bell) agrees to go out on a date with him.
