The nationwide casting call to be one of three new stars for Fox' hit musical comedy, glee, was supposed to come to a close on Monday, April 26. But due to popular demand, and with 28,000 auditions, 18 million video views and 85 million gold stars already given to the hopefuls, the response was so overwhelming, the submission window is being extended by one day!

If you never got around to posting your audition videos and thought you had missed out, today is your lucky day because beginning right now and continuing through tomorrow, Thursday, April 28th, you still can! The new submission window will close a 11:59 pm PST tomorrow.

Now even more amateur and professional performers will have the opportunity to submit an audition video exclusively on MySpace, in an attempt to make that once-popular social networking website relevant again. Even if you've since canceled your account, you now have time to create a new one solely for the purpose of having a shot at the role of a lifetime.

To recap the rules of this audition contest: all videos must feature an explanation about why the auditioner wants to be on the show, as well as a demonstration of his/her stellar singing ability by performing one of ten pre-approved glee covers, including “True Colors,” “You Can't Always Get What You Want” and “Lean on Me.” Performances must be either a cappella or with single instrument accompaniment via MySpace Karaoke or by uploading their own pre-recorded videos. Audition videos must be limited to five minutes in length – a one-minute introduction and a four-minute song – and are limited to one submission per person.

The next all-new episode of glee airs Tuesday, May 4 at 9pm (or whenever Idol decides to actually come to a not-so-prompt end!) only on Fox and features special guest appearances by Olivia Newton-John and Molly Shannon.
